A Good Day For Virginia To Send A Message: No Way McCain
2/12/08 | Self

Posted on 02/12/2008 5:13:20 AM PST by Nextrush

This is a great day to keep sending a message to John McCain in the winner takes all delegates Virginia Primary.

I've heard John McCain say this election will be about higher taxes or lower taxes. It could be if we elect him our next president. Is anyone reading his lips about this one?

From the Freepers on the Virginia board it seems a lot of robocalls have been going on out there.

The Trust Huckabee operation is my guess as to who's behind the robocalls that attack Huckabee's opponents.

This outfit who's leader Patrick Davis has pictures of the President and the Vice-President on his walls got his first political job with the "read my lips" president's campaign (George H.W. Bush).

This inside the beltway outfit must have been designed to pump Huckabee up, then let the air out once Romney got out of McCain's way.

Is it possible the nasty calls are to discredit Huckabee now and force him out?

Then there's the John Warner robocalls to endorse McCain. Frankly, that's what angers me.

Virginians who have a long memory know how Warner got to be a United States Senator. I remember that nominating convention back in 1978 when Richard Obenshain was selected and Virginia had hope of a conservative senator.

Warner came in second using his then wife actress Elizabeth Taylor on the floor of that convention. After the tragic plane crash that killed Obenshain, Warner ended up winning the endorsement at a new convention.

Warner has become a royal RINO over the years, snubbing the U.S. Senate candidacy of Oliver North in 1994 and the Lt. Gov. candidacy of Mike Farris in 1993.

And lest we forget Warner's "greatest" achievement in recent years, his participation in the Gang of 14 to hold up the president's conservative court nominations.

The gang leader was, of course, Senator John McCain.

Virginia can be thankful Warner is retiring this year.

But can you really swallow this flaming RINO and his endorsement of John McCain.

If I had gotten that call my anger would have driven me to the polls today just to vote against McCain and tell Warner where he could stick his call.

And the only option to keep McCain from getting all those delegates in a winner take all primary is for better or worse, Mike Huckabee.

NO WAY MCCAIN.

A vote for Huckabee sends a message to McCain, Warner and all the other RINO's and their stooges.

I knocked on doors in Pennsylvania yesterday to get signautres for the April primary for delegate and state committee candidates.

Let me tell you, some people were so angry they wouldn't even sign for my candidates who are real conservatives.

A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Huckabee.

Jumping from the frying pan into the fire is not a good idea. McCain is bad enough. Huckabee would be much, much worse.

Were they angry at conservatives or angry at the fact that McCain would represent the Republican party?

Huckabee would be much, much worse.

At this point, one thing worse even than McCain would be the prejudiced Huckabee. A president is president of all the people, all religions, athiest, and even gays and lesbians. Someone needs to inform Huck this country was founded for freedom of religion.

Huck fails on all of these. I guess if Utah had some big earthquake or disaster he would just ignore them since they think the "devil is Jesus's brother."

I will have to vote McCain if Huck is my only other choice since there is no place in leadership of this country for people who think like he does.

And I am a Christian.

I'm not. As, given what's happened to Virginia in recent years, John's seat will next be occupied by Mark. 2 dem senators for VA is nothing to be thankful for.

Why do you Huck supporters give him the pass you never gave Romney or McCain. He is the next to last person I want to be President.

Maybe Huck is staying in the race to rally people like me around McCain.

I agree. The one thing I do not do is shoot myself in the foot, or in this case in the head, to give more ammo to Marxists like Clinton and Obama.

No McCain is not my ideal candidate, but; he damn sure beats Obama and Clinton.

I hope others get over their candidate losing, because; we can ill afford to have the “social justice” crowd in office.

Not on amnesty. They all hold the same position on it. Amnesty will destroy this country as we know it.

Kind of sad - Huckabee is the only alternative to send a message to McLame.

Folks, our Republic is in SERIOUS trouble.

No, McCain is not my ideal. Do not tell me Obama or Clinton has a great record on stopping illegals. I suggest you get off your hero poster.

I said they had the same position on amnesty. All three voted for amnesty in 2006 [S. 2611] and 2007 [McCain-Kennedy]. If amnesty passes, everything else is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Hero poster?

I am not for amnesty. However, you go to war with the troops you have. Not the ones you wished to have. McCain is who we have. I will vote for him.

Hi, folks. T-minus-30-minutes and I'm going to go vote in the Virginia primary. I am just at a loss.

Fred's gone.

We've got McCain (is it true he's got mistresses galore lurking and other scandals lurking or are those just rumors?), McHuckabee, the Socialist Christian -- I don't get him. I want to think he's a Christian, but his snide comments just seem mean; is he a wolf in sheep's clothing?

Ron Paul as a protest vote?

Any opinions on a strategy for VA primary voting?

I happen to be a single-issue voter (pro-life); McCain's got the embryonic stem cell problem; did McHuckabee return the $70K from the embryonic stem cell company?

This is so frustrating.

I dislike Mike Huckabee. But John McCain is insane and involved with Soros and is being forced on us. Washington election should convince anyone not to vote for McCain
