The only way to break the cycle is to STOP SUPPORTING THEM.Amen. We had to go through Ford-Carter and suffer the peanut years in order to reset our compass, and get the Reagan revolution.

Gee! Decisions, decisions! The fascist witch, the apostate Muslim, the statist raging-nut, or maybe Elmer Gantry if were lucky.
My Republican senator is Mel Martinez. Hes not up for re-election this year. I wouldnt vote for him if he were.
My Republican congressman, Lincoln Diaz-Ballart, sent me an email supporting amnesty for illegals. No one ran against him in the primary and Im not going to vote for him.
My Republican governor is Charlie Crist. Hes not up for re-election. I dont think I would vote for him if he were.
Nelson, the Democratic senator, is not up for re-election. I certainly wouldnt vote for him if he were.
I guess I can still vote for state and local Republicans. I guess I can.
I dont know how I can vote for the McCain even though I probably will end up doing so.
Perhaps the conservative Republican (here on FR) could pick several relatively young conservative politicians we can agree on and start pushing them now for next time.
