ARLINGTON, VA U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has endorsed John McCain for president.
"John McCain is a patriot and devoted conservative leader," said Governor Bush. "Like no other candidate in the field, John McCain has made tremendous sacrifices for this nation. He is beholden to no interest other than that of the public good. He is determined and steadfast in his commitment to reducing the burden of high taxes, restoring the people's trust in their government, and winning the war against radical Islamic extremists. It is with pride that I announce my endorsement of John McCain for president."
how about Jumped the Elephant?
suggestions welcome
Damn right. Jeb is no RINO. He is the conservative that we needed in this race.
It sure is!!!!!!!
No Liberal Leaders for Republican Party (David Limbaugh)The Real McCainSure, if I'm a paid staffer for McCain or a high-school debater forced to take the affirmative side of the proposition that McCain is a conservative, I can make a colorable case intellectual honesty be damned that he's a conservative. But I am under no such constraints.
Getting 50 endorsements from well-placed Republican officials or even respected conservatives doesn't make McCain conservative. Being a conservative makes one a conservative. I bet, truth be told, McCain can't even stand the word.
McCain: "Clean Government" More Important Than 1st Amendment [video]
Transcribed:
McCain: "He also mentioned about my abridgment of First Amendment Rights, i.e., talking about Campaign Finance Reform. My response to that criticism is I work in Washington and I know that money corrupts and I and a lot of other people were trying to stop that corruption and obviously from what weve been seeing lately we didnt complete the job. But...I would rather have a clean government than one whose quote First Amendment Rights are being respected that has become corrupt....if I had my choice I would rather have a clean government......[chuckle]"
Mitt is a party man. No chance of that happening. What makes Huck any better than McCain anyway?
The phone-monkey said, you sound upset?
but also his wife is Mexican
What does that have to do with anything?
Damn right. Jeb is no RINO. He is the conservative that we needed in this race.
then why would he endorse an open borders/global warming/big government/hands across the aisle candidate?
Jeb is damaged goods after the Terri Schiavo fiasco. IMO
He certainly is!
..and Thompson endorsed McAmnesty and Hunter endorsed Huck, both moves caused them to be labeled RINOs or traitors by people here.
Hillary/Obama
Facts don’t matter to the fringe. They would call Reagan a RINO if he was still alive to endorse McCain.
More disingenuous spin from yet another Bush. How shocking.
I am sick and tired of the party insiders coming out and endorsing McCain. They probably all endorsed Dole at the end, also. Who cares is they close ranks, it makes no difference to me.
Ron Paul wouldn’t endorse McCain. By the logic displayed here, he must be the only non-RINO Repulbican left (legal drugs and anti-war, yipeee).
Not buying it.
President Reagan would never lie and call McRino a conservative.
Maybe he is waiting for David Duke to jump on some WN ticket again?
This is nothing new. Jeb Bush was against driver’s licenses for illegal aliens before he was for them. More phony RINO B.S. Also Jeb crawled out of his hidey hole after the Terry Schiavo debacle to support the BUSH-Kennedy-McCain amnesty when it looked like that steaming pile of dog crap was in trouble. Jeb Bush is a Bush first, last, and always; in other words a marshmallow-spined, open borders, globalist, La Raza RINOcrat no different from the rest of the beltway losers who would never have gotten where they are now if the now hated conservatives hadn’t carried their water this far.
Not necessarily a RINO, maybe just mistaken about what’s good for the long term, but I do know that I like your tagline.
