I really do not know anything about Belgium. Are they generally anti-semitic? They waffle on it.

Western Europe really has that “always fighting the last war” thing down pat.

To be frank, there is still a lot of anti-semitism in Europe, and it was there long before the growth in the Muslim population.

So the police in Belgium are obeying the orders of the politicians to eliminate Christians and Jews and give the country to radical jihadis?

Sounds like the early PJ O’Rourke. National Lampoon?

Kalmann was born in the Auschwitz death camp three days before it was liberated by Allied troops. I didn't know Auschwitz had a maternity ward.

Why is everyone so surprised? I was in Germany - specifically Cologne and the general vibe that I felt there towards the Jewish People was of total indifference and scratch the surface: anti-semitism never left, still thrives./Just Asking - seoul62.......

Typical very liberal country where they drink sour beer and wait for Americans with money to buy it. Stella Artois?

Belgium (as did Holland) had a Nazi/Fascist party in WW2.
Leon DeGrelle was the leader, avoided a Belgium treason conviction by escaping to Spain and died there in the 1970s (or so I remember!)

Technicaly, Stella Artois is a malt liquor.
Get your uppity woman in the mood quicker, with Stella Artois’ malt liquor.

Maybe the biggest blunder of the 20th century was Britain’s decision to go to war with Germany over Belgium. If not for that, the Germans would have beaten France quickly. No Bolshevik Revolution, no Nazis, no Hitler, no World War II, no Stalin, no Mao, no Ho Chi Minh, no Fidel.

I'm pretty sure this was the monologue from Austin Powers when Dr. Evil gives his biography...
(a lot of slapstick - but there were some funny lines in that movie)

Well, I have no idea what the police said to the guy about the cafe incident but am I the only one here who thinks it is ridiculous to file a complaint against the Belgian police for not accepting a complaint report in English? It's not like cops here take statements from foreigners in Flemish.
To: rogue yam
Don’t know about Flemish, but our police are able to take reports in Spanish, Hmong, Vietnamese, Urdu, Hindi, and a host of others. There is a notice to that effect right on the door of the squad room.

Forgot the all-important Arabic, too. Apparently they have translators on call for this.
