Heard this afternoon on Rush's show, in response to a caller's question: 'Obama may get the most delegates, but he won't be the Democrat nominee. We're talking about the Clintons here.'

I hope Rush is right. I think he is. I sure don’t want Jim Jones follower types electing a president.

And do you care about the cost to Americans fighting overseas with Hillary/Obama as Commander in Chief? Do you care about what will happen in the War on Terror if the libs win?

I’m a die-hard conservative, but I do not put my party before my country. I’m holding my nose and voting McCain.

“I think Rush is wrong on this one...If Obama wins the state Delegates and the SuperDelegates go to Hillary...the Dems will be just as divided as the GOP and I don’t see their PC culture allowing that to happen.”

Don’t worry, Al Gore will make everything better and unify the party at the appropriate time.

Gore/Obama 08

I’d give the above scenario a 15% chance of occurring if it goes to the convention deadlocked.

...but why is it that you don’t think the left needs to be taught a lesson for their absolutely unbelievable childish, immature, and dangerous behavior the last five years? How do they escape your wrathful eye? How is it that the Democrats somehow don’t make you mad

Because we already know they don't care in the slightest what conservatives think. That's a pretty silly question... they'd ship us off to North Korean re-education camp in a heartbeat.

If history is any guide here, around September the Dems will wake up from their mass enchantment, wipe the pixie dust from their eyes and realize they coulda had a V8, and instead they've got a black guy from Chicago, name of Hussein, who's never been in a national election, never run anything, and is running out of gas momentum.
And if we had a decent candidate on our side, he could start selecting draperies. But no, we got John McCain.

Obama seems to have lots of momentum.

I agree. When considering the superdelegates we have to remember that they are uncommitted and hence could go for Obama if the correct circumstances present themselves. I'm not sure I'd be happy to be one at the moment. The sort of arm-twisting involved is legendary and the Clinton machine is one of the dirtiest players in the game.

This is machine politics in its purest form - Hillary's New York machine versus Obama's Chicago machine. Those will be the principal gladiators in the convention arena, with Kennedy's Massachusetts machine in a pivotal role in between. The sort of wheeling and dealing that will take place is commonly protected by a code of silence that makes the Mafia's omerta look positively talkative.

I tried to explain this to a young colleague who is all passion for Hussein and who, I am sure, regards me as cynical and unidealistic. I have a hunch he'll change that view come August.

There are no winner take all in the Dem party primaries. But, as you say, with little states, its hard to gain ground by getting a small advantage from winning, AND Obama is running out of states!

If Hillary took the VP slot, Bubba’s speaking fees would bottom out real fast. Ain’t gonna happen.

Black folks are really going to be hot when Clinton’s “steal” the election from them.

He’s right. Clintons have unlimited power and money. They can call up thousands of people and threaten them. They will get their way.
They fight dirty.
Obama is not corrupted like the Clintons.

Someone else pointed out, however, that it doesn’t matter if blacks decide to stay home - they’re already registered.

All it takes is to have several “Magical Mystery Voting Bus Tours” go around to all the precincts, handing out names to the people as they get off the bus.

The Republican Party is so corrupt as to render your exhortation ludicrous. No one can get the nomination without becoming a part of that corruption.

Can you provide any evidence that the party is "corrupt", other than its nomination of a candidate with whom you disagree? You may not like the outcome, but it's the result of a democratic vote.

He’s usually right about this stuff.”

Hmmm....maybe. I remember how he told us Hillary would not run for the Senate way back when....

In any event, by far the best case scenario for us is for the D’s to have a completely wild convention, where Obama dominates, yet the Clintons pull the rub out from under him, and he walks out in protest, vowing to run as a write in, thus bring down everythign! Wahhhhaaaaa

Hillary has too much “goodwill” (or FBI file evidence)”

The problem with the FBI files is that Obama was like 10 years old back when they got the files....unless they are somehow getting updates, those files won’t be much good on Obama.

In the back rooms, when nobody is looking, they are the most racist scum on the planet. They want blacks to fall back in place, behind them. The Clintons are the worst. They like blacks, as long as they know their place, being used as props and victims but never as equals.
Right now she’s using the ghetto borne distrust of blacks and hispanics to kneecap Obama and she’ll discard that group when she’s done with them too.
I would never underestimate the Clintons and the depths they’ll sink to get power. Minority groups are just a means to an end for her and her ilk.

Hillary has the most ‘super delegates’. I have a feeling she’ll get the nomination without any trouble.

“It’s the Superdelegates, stupid.”
____________________________________________

I think the active superdelegates will pretty much fall in line with the way their districts/states voted.
It’s the retired superdelegates, like Tom Foley, that have nothing to lose and everything to gain by selling their vote to the highest bidder.

The files are for use on the Super Delegates, not Obama. But honestly I think the Clinton's are going to need more than this to derail Obama.

I have been very surpised at Obama’s campaigning ability. He is a tough opponent. However, you are right, I am sure that his oppo research file will be handed over to the NY Slimes this week during a lunch between the editorial board and hillary’s campaign staff.

dilemma is how does she mug him for the nomination without blood in the streets as a result.

By making him her "not worth a bucket of warm spit" VP. He's young, and can run in 2016. Sold as "party unity" to save the nation from the Threat of the Madman McCain. Sort of like LBJ did to AuH20, except that McCain fits the part much better than Goldwater ever did.
