I wish that the Republicans had a few of those super delegates up their sleeve, we might not be getting McCain.

Someone was claiming on another thread that the GOP also has super delegates, but I’ve never heard of them.

Nobody would have her @ VP, and she will not have Obama for VP either. Not after the convention, she’ll put him in his place, or she’ll be crying and whining and suing everybody in sight...one or the other.

Not, that I have ever heard. They would go to Romney at this point and they would not have let Romney drop out of the race.

I don’t think she will be putting him in his place. HE will be too busy enjoying his victory. She’ll probably be whining for sure but she’ll be out either way.

No one who refuses to participatevote can have their voice heard and understood.

Au contrere mon frere, everyone on this board has already heard our voice and when we participate by NOT voting for McCain, you'll all understand. This "real conservative" nonsense is just smoke and mirrors moderates use to make people of principle feel bad about not voting for someone (frankly, all of them) we see as unfit to handle the real problems we all face.

Why is it conservatives are the only political group in this country required to compromise?

I truly do hope that Rush is right on this. Obama truly has the momentum presently going his way with no end in sight. This election is getting very ugly on both the Democratic and Republican sides, and true conservatism need not apply this time around, unfortunately. God truly help everyone get through the future of the U.S.! Long-term socialism truly needs to be stopped in its tracks throughout the U.S., and all conservative voters truly need to not stay at home on election day while also voting for true conservatives at every political level on November 4!

they will cut a deal... she will be his VP.

He better be prepared for an "Arkansas Dirt Bath" 'cause that'll be what his future holds in store.

I don't believe so. First, Republicans in congress will oppose her in unison. However, with McCain pushing the same exact liberal policies, they will be torn between supporting their party and doing what is right. It will be political suicide to oppose the party that supplies their reelection funds. And would also be suicidal to vote opposite of what their constituents want.

I think this is spot on. A big negative would be to have Obama as President. The press would excoriate anyone who opposed him. Everything would be turned into a racial issue. It would be an almost impossible situation unless there were a articulate spokesman for the GOP who could lead attacks against policy.

Yes, letting them take over every branch of government will help the conservative movement!

Carter helped to get us Reagan. You need to look beyond the moment.

And do you care about the cost to Americans fighting overseas with Hillary/Obama as Commander in Chief? Do you care about what will happen in the War on Terror if the libs win?

I’m a die-hard conservative, but I do not put my party before my country. I’m holding my nose and voting McCain.

The president can't do much without the consent of congress. Even the Dems don't want to be seen a losing the war, no matter what they say now to get elected.

And it sounds as if you ARE indeed putting your party first. I guess it didn't leave you because you are following it left.

“You may not like the outcome, but it’s the result of a democratic vote.”

The voting didn’t even start until a field of candidates had been picked...by whom?
