My father is also coming up on 13 years - his EC was also found very early. Best wishes to you - living with the repercussions of the surgery hasn't been easy, but it beats the alternative every time.

Congrats to your dad... the repercussions from the surgery really are a challenge but I’ll take’em.

And I’m sure your dad would agree with me that having gone through that experience makes the time you have with your grandchildren (in my case, 3 grand-daughters so far) is all that more special. I try to savor every visit.
