Texas will hold its primary on March 4, 2008. People do not register as members of political parties in Texas, so on March 4th, anybody who is registered to vote, can vote for Obama. See http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/primary.shtml. With McCain already the Republican nominee effectively, why not have those who lean Republican all vote for Obama to help destroy Hillary's candidacy?
Texas will send delegates to the Democrat convention. 126 of those will be chosen in the 31 separate primaries on March 4, 2007 divided by state Senate districts. See http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/2/8/17340/43669. Republicans can help Obama get many of these 126.
Another 67 delegates will be based on the results of caucuses. Those who lean Republican and voted for Obama may be able to attend the caucuses. But I am not sure.
As I see it, better to have Obama defeat her rather than risk her becoming President in a battle with McCain.
Obama is preferable because his opponent is coming to the end of a thirty-year plan to seize power and rule with an iron fist. There are literally thousands of regulators-in-waiting and judges-in-waiting, hand picked by Her Thighness, ready to overturn 220 years of Constitutional government and rule like Stalinists.
I have no illusions about Senator Obama - his ideas are every bit as bad as hers.
But he is not at the head of a revolutionary long-term project with international connections and thousands of ready-to-go commissars. She is.
If Obama is elected, powerful countervailing forces will oppose him and his own inexperience and probable incompetence will limit the damage. The President, alone, is not a dictator.
Hillarys administration-in-waiting is a clear and present danger to the republic. Young Senator Obama, IMO, is not.
He isn't running.
Had you heard?
That is a clever retort ..... Hope your day job isn’t comedy!
Perverted is more accurate.

“here at UT and pretty much all over Austin all the cute chicks dig Obama...”
And all the lesbos are for Hitlery?
It’s call humor...
uh, ok...
I can get you a discount to mt ten o’clock show...two drink minimum.
Yup. With McCain/Hillary, it’s a contest of who is hated more. I think Hillary is hated more between these two. With Obama, even though he’s not saying anything substantive, his facade is more likeable than McCain.
Hillary will have to empty her bladder after the Texas primary in order to generate sympathy and mccain will get to lose to huckabee.
Heck, it's a 3-fer... Governor "Nice Hair" Perry gets to see that his endorsement means about as much as a warm bucket of spit .
Vote OBAMA, conservatives... I'm getting popcorn, beer, my umbrella and folding chair to watch the riots.... should be a hoot.
90% of the people here said they wouldn’t vote for McCain under any circumstance. Now they’re all worried he won’t win.
Who’s saying that? I’m not. I am only discussing the question asked. The focus is on Hillary or Obama, not whether McCain wins or loses. The only thing I bring McCain up for is comparisons of his negatives to Hillary or Obama. If he’s paired up against Hillary, I think Hillary loses because she’s more unlikeable by more people. If it’s Obama, McCain loses because McCain is more unlikeable than Obama.
