**EXCERPT**
Hillary Rodham Clinton had hoped her strong showing on Super Tuesday would halt Barack Obama's momentum - but that notion was shattered yesterday as Obama scored blowouts in Washington state, Louisiana and Nebraska.
The Clinton camp had tried to downplay the widely anticipated losses as old news - and her campaign had ceded Louisiana and Nebraska to save their resources for the bigger March 4 contests in Texas and Ohio.
But the big wins for Obama could fuel the perception that he's on a roll, and victories could be scarce for Clinton over the next few weeks if she doesn't prevail in today's closely contested Maine caucuses.

It’s almost painful to see the comparison between her ad and Obama’s.
She might do better if she pulled the ad.
Brilliantly done! :-)
Late on a Sunday afternoon with no live coverage....they're oh, so clever! ;^D
but it’s Obama who is taking the first shots. That dump truck of dirt is waiting...
You go girlfriend
Thet young upstart aint goin’ nowheres a tall
Who does he think he is ??
You’re the smartest woman in America..
Here’s a hanky...
Wipe yer nose and go git ‘im
LOL!!!
Yeah, I really feel for her.
But I can't reach her. HA HA HA!!!
Par for the course. That's how they were able to roll out the "comeback kid" cliche when she got that 2-point win in NH - by making it seem like she was supposed to lose when in fact she had a 20+ point lead in New Hampshire right up until the Iowa caucuses. So in reality, that 2-point win was just an indicator as to how far she had already fallen.
Agree 100%.
GO OBAMA!! Don't go near Ft. Marcy Park especially now since Maggie Williams is back!!
Loser or not, she WON'T be gracious.
Thanks, L. Hi to THE good guy. ;-)
Hill and Bill will be after those SD’s like Captain Ahab. And, I’d bet that Clinton Inc. has a LOT to offer. This isn’t a “fait accompli” by a long stretch.
And Richie Daley will send in his heaviest hauler...no charge. ;-)
You hit it exactly. That's the liberals thinking in microcosm right there, as epitomized by HRC...
Walter Mondull.
So what ya’ll are saying is that it is kind of like the battles between the English and the Scots.
The Scots kicked our xxxx on the battlefield, so we go and buy of their ‘superdelegate’ nobles with land and castles so we can win.
I got it now.
That's an understatement if ever there was one.
But there will be an even better "up side".....
She and Bill will make it their mission in life to completely destroy the democrat party. They are a vengeful pair.
Her "Thighness" shall not be denied her "throne".
Thanks for your post and attendance.
I have always lived in a primary state and never attended a caucus. Since you sat on the sidelines and observed maybe you can answer a few questions for me.
You noted the young. Did these look like working youth or mama boy types that go home to mamas cooking? Or did they look homeless? My question is what type of people can donate hours of their time on the weekend to politics if they work and have a family?
The more that I have watched the caucuses, I have decided against them. This is not democracy IMO. This is none other than old fashioned, behind the door politics meaning to disinfanchise many people.
The Maine caucus win was O. 1800 to Clinton 1305. The figures may not be exactly right but close. New Hampshire a much smaller primary state had over 200,000 voting in the primary. The Alaska dem. caucus was 305 obama to ?Clinton 103. What a joke the caucus system is. Not even 500 people voted in the Alaska Dem primary, yet that is not even talked about or discussed.
If Bill had stayed home and kept his filthy mouth shut she would be way ahead. Just my opinion.
