And where does that "thick guilt" come from, I wonder?

Nope, I have no dog in the race.
However, I was the Office Manager for two Psychs and 3 therapists.

The guilt of a family member who’s loved one ends his/her own life so as not to have them suffer, is hard on them. Whether the person who does it likes it or not.

You see it as “unselfish”. You are making a decision for them.
