That is obviously different to a popcorn maker that I have that just pops the corn.

Nope, that’s not it. The old popcorn poppers had a bowl bottom and used oil to cook the popcorn. Mine had the popcorn container detached so the bottom was more like a heating coil at the bottom. I’ll look and maybe I can find one to post.

Rats. I looked on eBay and could not find one there either. Those things must be REALLY old!
