snugs has some good advice. It might help, before you begin the exercises, to put quite warm, but not hot, moist heat on your neck and extend the heat to your shoulders.

In my case, it is not a problem. TX will return Cornyn to the Senate. My rep is Gohmert, and he will be returned. I don’t even know if there is a dim running against him.

they simply cannot control how we vote

There's no need to manipulate all of the people. Just influence enough of them.

I don't think the detail outcome is necessarily manipulated, but the general direction leftward and toward more centralized control is pervasive in the established parties. Not even Reagan could dismantle the federal department of dumbing down education.

“I would have thought McCain needs a younger vibrant person as VP to counter the age problem with the ticket.”

I will agree with you 100%, but we have to remember John McCain and his angry attitudes.

How long does it take to nominate your candidates, or is it done in advance?

I’d give my firstborn to have such a thing here.

Cause I’ve yet...in fifty eight years of living, been able to get potato salad right. And don’t even talk to me about purchased potato salad.

If it were a brokered convention and the GOP felt McCain was not electable it is not beyond the flights of fantasy that they would dream up a candidate probably one that many conservatives would be even more unhappy with than John McCain.

But that means people have to vote for the rest of the ballot, and not avoid the election booth entirely. As another poster just mentioned earlier, there may be a movement to remind people to do that.

And wouldn't that be an interesting PSA: "Hillary Clinton (Age 60) VS. John McCain (Age 72) - 2008 - the Bucket List Election Cycle. But after you write in Pat Buchanan for President, vote for the other Republicans for the other offices."

All around good interview between Wallace and the President. One thing about Wallace (even though I’m not his biggest fan), is that he is usually respectful, and today he was.

President Bush: “I don’t give a damn about the polls”!! Then kind of caught him self and said something like gosh-darn! LOL

He openly laughed at some of Wallace’s questions about this history of the Bush administration — writing history before the end of my administration is just malarky.

I enjoyed the interview.

I’ll be watching Reliable Sources after this. One topic of discussion on that show today will be the David Schuster kerfluffle.

The primaries are not over. The question is whether Huckabee can prevent McCain from getting the required number of delegates to win the nomination outright. The GOP establishment is now circling the wagons around McCain. I attended CPAC and listened to John Bolton, Newt, George Allen, George Will, etc. endorse McCain. Some conservatives are selling their souls on the altar of electability or anti-Hillary/Obama.

However, there is a strong sentiment to stand on principle and not allow someone who has been the maverick to marginalize the conservative movement and hijack the party moving it to the Left. McCain is only drawing about 35% of the vote winning primaries on pluralities. He is even drawing less support from conservatives.

We are working on a plan now to answer the maverick McCain challenge. Stay tuned.

Alton Brown, man. You must bow with respect.

My Republican Congressman is a lock to be re-elected.

Right now I can’t imagine any worse than John McCain although, maybe Russ Feingold, Olympia Snowe....but that’s so far out.

NOTHING this year would surprise me.

No, while protesting McCain in Delaware, we noticed that Ridge was playing an increasing role in the McCain campaign. I think McCain believes he can take PA, which has gone narrowly to the Dems the last two elections.

Hard boiled eggs surely that makes its egg mayonnaise.

To me potato salad is just either salad cream or mayonnaise (I prefer salad cream) and chives or parsley.

Think we have a cultural difference here I learned that about salads a few years ago on what you call ham salad and what we call ham salad. In Britain it is whole slices of ham served with salad vegetables.
