I just finished reading that report and he has it right. The bean counters can’t do the job.
That’s why it’s called Foggy Bottom.
I think what Miranda is exposing here is just what Timmerman was writing about, although he does not seem to realize that the problems are largely caused by "holdover saboteurs" fighting the attempts of the few loyal Bush appointees attempts to get anything done.
Great book - every Freeper that wants to understand "how we got here" should read it.
Particularly if a Democrat becomes President. The "holdovers" Bush failed to get rid of at State will reign supreme, and they will be looking for Bushie "scalps".
