Huckabee doesn’t have Romney capital, holdings nor near as an impressive portfolio. If you have enough money you can get a few pundits to refer to you as conservative. Had Romney stayed in the race this would have been a lot tougher for McCain.

Romney spread around a lot of money. On the Huck website, in responses, it talked about $500,000 in giving by Romney to one of the organizations that ranked Huck poorly in one of their “analysis” type rankings.

I just don't see it this way.... Most of the remaining states award delegates based on proportional votes. So, if Romney stays in... Romney and Huck just continue to split votes.

The BEST Romney could have hoped for was a 1st place finish, that didn't have the number required to win.... then, lose the nomination to Mack or Huck in a repeat of the West Virginia caucus.

Now... McCain could LOSE every remaining state, and still win. He's THAT far ahead.

If Huck had dropped out, leaving Romney and Mac in a H2H, THEN Romney had a chance... but, Huck wasn't going to do that.

This process is completely FUBAR.
