The math says that McCain will be hard to stop. It's possible I guess but the remaining states would have to vote in an order such that McCain would be kept under the 492 delegates he currently needs to win. Not sure the combinations needed to do that as it would depend upon type of allocations in each state. Also the state party allocations usually go as unpledged so who knows how they'd voted, party line I'd guess.

Summary .

1274 delegates remaining before LA votes today. 1191 needed to win.

McCain .. 699 delegates .. Needs 492 [38% of remaining available]
