Ann Coulter wasn't invited to CPAC this year but she came to CPAC anyway and gave a speech just down the hallway from the ballroom where John McCain spoke Thursday. The speech was only open to 1000 attendees but you can watch it here on Townhall.com. I guess we'll name this speech, "Ann Coulter's 2008 not-at-CPAC-CPAC speech."

LAME DUCK CONGRESS TO DECIDE AMNESTY
Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott just announced that the Senate would be adjourning until November 14.
The amnesty issue will be decided by a lame duck congress and a lame duck president.
If Democrats win, amnesty will pass and we will lose our country.
This election will be a national referendum on amnesty and national sovereignty!

McCain has a record , she’s just pointing it out. The ba$tard has spent the last eight years thumbing his nose at us and now we are suppose to forgive and forget. That will just encourage all the other RINOs to copy him. Sorry want happen.
I watched it, or rather I listened to it. I liked what I heard
I’m getting tired of people who drip contempt for their political opponents. Coulter is the political version of Dr. Laura, and I’m getting to the point where I respond to both of them with the same distaste. You have to give respect to get respect (at least from me).
I am not interesting in attracting converts. If those people are not swayed by the ideas of small government, strong national defense and controlled immigration, Ann Coulter is not going to sway them. Liberals hate Ann Coulter because she speaks the truth, and can give them the truth in the only language and tone that makes it past their ideological shields.
You might consider using a different analogy than Rosie O’Donnell, someone who has a high school education, a hollywood following, a desperately unhappy personal life, a view on issues shaped by her Hollywood surroundings and a vacuous brain. If you want to make an analogy with a liberal, find a liberal with a law degree, an intellectually based grasp of issues and at least twice as much gray matter. And good luck with that.

I was fortunate enough to see Ann Coulter live at Wellesley College a couple of years back...in the “Belly of The Beast” as it were up here in Massachusetts. For your enjoyment, here is the “after action report” I posted on FR...:)

It was great...everything I hoped she would be. She pulled no punches at all...none whatsoever!
I will attempt to relay (mostly via paraphrase...I wish I had a tape recorder!) what she said...it is NEARLY accurate...:)

When asked about her views on pre-maritial sex in light of her stated views on the sanctity of marriage, she said “Gee...it is usually the pimply-faced adolescent guys asking me that one...” and she dodged the question. When people in the audience shouted out for her to answer the question, she said “Sorry...I’m going to require a credit card for that...” Obviously, she didn’t want to answer what was obviously a question designed to trap her and illuminate her as a hypocrite, and just refused to do so.
Remember, all of this is not verbatim, but is paraphrased from what I can remember.
Generally, the crowd was polite, nobody had to be dragged out for being disruptive.
The smelly hippy types with their “Give peace a chance”, “No War in Iraq” and “Stop Hate Speech” were parked outside, pathetically listening to 60’s music from a boom box, but the only thing I heard from them was someone shout out “Don’t support Hate Speech!” Other than that, they seemed to mind their own business.
There is no way I would vote for Cheney!!! Bring on Newt!

It is not going to come from the other side, no matter what. That has been shown clearly since at least the political lynching of Joseph McCarthy.
There are no longer any Queensbury rules, and the stakes are too high to leave the field of battle to the other side. And this is a battle.
No thanks. Can’t stand listening to her any more than I can listen to hillary.
