Ann Coulter wasn't invited to CPAC this year but she came to CPAC anyway and gave a speech just down the hallway from the ballroom where John McCain spoke Thursday. The speech was only open to 1000 attendees but you can watch it here on Townhall.com. I guess we'll name this speech, "Ann Coulter's 2008 not-at-CPAC-CPAC speech."

You’ll probably be disappointed. For some reason, most of her one-liners fell flat, even in front of this rabid audience.

I didn’t realize that Maria was older than Ann....sure doesn’t look it.

Some guy (Same guy who asked her to marry him at some previous speech she gave) got up to ask a question and said “If McCain doesn’t raise taxes, doesn’t let all the immigrants in and doesn’t appoint liberal judges, will you vote for him in 2012?”
She said “Well sure. But it’s not going to happen. Hey, I could win a billion dollars in the lottery, but it ain’t going to happen. Tell you what, if he does those things, I’ll marry YOU!”

Well, nothing personal, but like some people who are interested in whether she is good looking or not, or nice or not, I listen to her because she happens to be right.
She may indeed be “an emaciated and bleached nearly 50-year-old skank” as you so eloquently put it, but she understands the conservative political landscape out there better than most. Because she is vitriolic in her presentation that does not make her wrong. The fact that liberals despise her with a white hot intensity only indicates to me she is on the right track.
Nothing personal against you, it is just my opinion.

After just watching the video I must say that it wasn’t one of Ann’s best. However, Babe Ruth struck out more often than he hit home runs and he is still the Sultan of Swat! Annie is still the Sultana and a true Bambina.
The speech was pretty flat, most of the jokes didn’t go over well. She was much better during the Q&A when she spoke without an outline.
