If Bush pull this Talif**k out of a hole just in time for McLame to capitalize off it, I’m going to hurl.

We’ve known this for years. The Pakis have known for years we know they’re harboring AQ. Yet, we still claim them as friends. Boggles the mind.

Musharref has already cut a deal to make sure Bush kills Osama and his higher-ups before the election. That recent drone bombing was a warm-up act.

Al-Qaeda, Taliban chiefs hiding in Pakistan.
Pakistan...Afghanistan...what's the difference??
We still can't find them after six years of (supposedly) looking.

The official also said that US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, her British counterpart David Miliband and Karzai had discussed in Kabul this week the appointment of a new United Nations envoy to Afghanistan. Well, that'll certainly cause Al Qaeda terrorists to shake in their boots.

Good post. It's important to speculate as loudly as possible about the location of bin Laden and Omar. If we're wrong, they'll sit and be noticed, ratted out and targeted; if we're right, they'll move and be noticed and targeted.
It's well known that Omar is in and out of Quetta, moving about NE Balochistan. Bin Laden is the hide-and-go-seek world champion.
To find him, figure out first where he is not at.
I don't believe Pakistan/FATA for a number of reasons but mainly that the Mehsud and Wazir tribes are a gossip festival that have given us many target opportunites.
Chitral has a strange people that would easily notice UBL's entourage, and Chitral has an unreliable back door.
AQ loves its back doors.
Curiously, our "senior official" never mentions Yuldashev and his Uzbeks. They are AQ's muscle and tour guides and travel planners. They don't talk and op security is very solid.
The Uzbeks love Nouristan and Bajaur and the corridor of Waqan. Our new base, opening next month, on the Paki border gives us a terrific look down capability.
