I am VERY responsible, not about the toys, treat a woman good and haven’t found a good woman yet!
It’s an endless cycle of: “Why are you so nice to me, you’re too nice for me, you deserve better”.
It never ends and I am so sick of it. So what happens ??
The good guy is the one left alone.......
Single women “could” usher in big government?
Women of all marital statuses *have been* ushering in big government ever since they got the vote.
Today an adult woman has little more legal responsibility than a small child does — in most states, she can unilaterally divorce her husband against his wishes and without any fault on his part; she can commit crimes and count on receiving much less punishment than a man would (and get plenty of sympathy from the media who fall all over themselves trying to dig up some kind of “abuse” in her past that would justify her behavior); etc., etc. Don’t even get me started on what’s expected of a woman in the military compared to a man!
A woman can always count on yet another unsuspecting man or, barring that, Big Daddy Government to help her out of anything.
This is what women have legislated for themselves: power without responsiblity or accountability. And it is the overriding factor that has put the US into what I think is an irreversible decline.
“But I would guess that the largest number of single women is elderly women, and growing even faster as the boomers age.”
That’s why it’s REALLY important for women to understand that they need to be self-sufficient and have gobs of money and resources as they age.
Statistically, most of us will be widowed or divorced in our Golden Years.
Don’t be old, alone AND broke later in life, Freeper Gals!
Like women NEVER do that? Give me a break, they do it just as often if not more than men.
This one definitely qualifies for your “Wimmen ‘R Evil!” ping list. ;)
Actually, it was just the occurrence of out-of-wedlock sex. Women are the gate-keepers, requiring men to be of high character in order to get married and have “access”.
I blame the out-of-wedlock births on exactly what this article is about - using the government as the provider instead of requiring men to. Conversely, women know that any consequences of having sex, getting pregnant, having a child, will actually, in some cases, improve their situation because of the gov’t handouts.
Off to ping the hordes ;) Thank you.
can’t even say that. there’s alot of “single” women out there, taking advantage of the system in every way. on the gov’t teat, popping out kids to get even more gov’t aid and child support.. all while actually being supported by the live-in boyfriend- living in every way as husband and wife, except without the piece of paper, in order to continue the lazy lifestyle they’ve become used to.
My experience with these types of women are that their lives are never-ending soap operas. A great percentage of them won’t vote because:
The car broke down.
Some major appliance failed.
They had to spend an entire day at the Social Services office filling out paperwork for some entitelment or other.
They had to spend the day at a sale/getting their hair done/getting their nails done.
One of their kids/lover/boss/co-worker did something/said something that will cause them to spend the day in emotional turmoil.
They had a health problem and spent the day waiting at the ER.
They had PMS/a horrible period/were exhausted from either and slept all day.
They just met someone attractive and spent the day with him.
Their connection finally came through.
They do not follow politics, assume their benefits will continue and don’t see how anything political affects them, anyway.
If none of this is true, then how did W ever defeat Kerry?
“a growing bloc of women who rely on government for their financial security and their households well-being.”
The un-wed women of Australia, were credited with the recent change of government, from conservative to liberal....
Sorry...but I think the statistics are that women initiate divorce, by 65%
I initiated the divorce in my case because my ex walked out and disappeared with the children. I got the kids back and he begged me to take him back. HAHAHA...funniest thing he ever said!
BTW...I was the primary support in our family, plus was attending school to make myself better, more employable.
Oh my goodness! What a bunch of finger-pointing people!
Just to fit in, here’s my point: Most legislators at all levels of government are men.
It has also made women slaves,,, to the Federal Government.
Then one day she just showed up out of the blue. I had met her several times over a 4 or 5 year period but she or I was never available because we were involved with other people.
I asked her out, and we are so compatible it's scary. We are soulmates, we love each other and plan on getting married.
So...when you find it, you find it, and when you know it, you will know it. Just hang in there!
Did any of these nitwits ever think about voting absentee?
Coulter quotes that the biggest group of supporters for unrestricted abortion are males 18-35, for the obvious reasons.
Now, I didn’t look at her footnote for that, so I don’t have a source other than “Godless”.
I’d appreciate anyone pointing me to the source.
That takes advance planning, doesn’t it? It also requires that they think voting is important. They don’t. They do not see politicians as their Sugar Daddy. They simply assume that Social Services will always be there and finds money out of some bottomless pit to keep them from being on the street. If, for any reason, they are denied *services*, they know every attorney who specializes in such cases and who will *get* them their benefits. I have seen these unorganized women with a 6-inch file occupying the passenger seat of their car. It contains every application and every return letter they have ever made/received. They have printouts of every applicable law downloaded from the Net. They are founts of welfare information. They know precisely how many hours they can work without losing their benefits. It is the most important aspect of their lives and they know how to work it, but they do not make that transition to the other areas of their lives.
Go figure.
My experience comes from running a business over the past 23 years which has periods of time when unskilled, part time labor is needed. There is a pool of these women in every community and lots of very small businesses trade these names. OTOH, we jealously guard the names of the reliable workers and do not share, as they are so rare. It was guaranteed that if I was in a time crunch, any/all of the list I posted would occur and I would get the last minute call saying they would be late or not in at all or had to leave early or had to bring a child to work or.........
I have mostly redesigned my production so that my husband and I can handle all of it ourselves, even though his business means he is only available a few hours twice a week and occaisionally on weekends if the weather isn’t conducive to sailing. So, it has been years since my production was held hostage by any of these people.
