Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

If we're winning overseas, then the terrorists will be back and with more of a vengeance if we leave our back door open while angering them more and more by the day.

I say lock our back doors while we are over there killing them so that we can minimize terrorist attacks in our own homeland.

McCain also thinks Gitmo should be closed and the "POW"s should be brought here and be given lawyers.

McCain has also admitted that economic issues is not his strength. How can we pay for the war if the economy goes down the toilet?

And, who I feel bad for, today, is Cindy. She has to go home with him every night. And, I don’t believe she’s a ‘Happy Camper’.

Bush barely won in 2000, and most Republicans and conservatives supported him.

In 2004 he had more enthusiastic support and levels approaching high 80% around here and won by a more comfortable margin but it wasn’t a runaway.

The very fact conservatives are being badgered again by the weasels that caused this mess to begin with and have insulted us at every turn to vote for McCain, while the Democrats are already starting to attack him and very few people care to respond to those attacks to prevent their portrait of him from being accepted by the general public, says a lot.

yeah, McCain needs Democrats and Independents to win because he’s going to lose conservatives. But who’s going to win him those Dems and indy’s when the Dems and MSM get through with him and conservatives aren’t around to have his back? By the time they get through with him every TRUTHFUL thing we’ve ever said about him is going to be exposed. he’ll be revealed as the arrogant, corrupt, power hungry little man he is and the Dem will win easily.

Mccain got where he is with the MSM. the RINO’s that support him got where they are because of the MSM. watch the MSM pull that protective cover away and destroy him. the people he really needs on his side are conservatives, because we’re the only ones that have done battle with the MSM and won. Well, Johnny, I’m not lifting one damn finger to pull you from the sinkhole that await you.

Nope, never. No how, no way. Doesn’t matter who he picks for a running mate. Doesn’t matter who might be elected if he isn’t. If in the last two terms GWB ever made you wish you hadn’t voted for him, just wait for President McCain.

*Will you join me?*

I won’t. By his own words, he was a collaborator.

Okay. I won't argue with you.

But, I will say that as much as I respect both you and your opinion, I recoil from your political acumen.

Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

Of course there are.

There are Freepers who support smoking bans, red light cameras, seat belt laws and generally turning this nation into a giant super-restrictive homeowners association with police powers as an enforcement tool for those who will not assimilate.

“This statement is emotional crap and not rooted in the real world.”

The real world is McCain can’t win.

I note you make no reference in your questions about illegal immigration or amnesty.

McCain supporters always leave that out.

If McCain is all we are left with, then I have some concern.

GHW Bush. Bob Dole. GW Bush. John McCaine.

Some day the faithful GOP’ers will get tired of holding their noses.

If not now, when?

Elect McCaine and the GOP will be in reluctant support for at least 4 years, then being required to support him again for another term.

And I’m not gonna be “frightened” into voting for a candidate like McCaine by the boogey man politics of the GOP.

The Republican party has now jumped the shark.

He is also totally unhinged. The guy is nuts, to be polite and unstable.

That is the truth.

It sure is fun to watch all the whining and attempts at verbal intimidation going on here. At one time this place was free republic. Now some are turning it in threat republic.

So suddenly winning the war is no longer important?

Having the opportunity to put up decent judges on the bench isn’t a goal?

Overnight the Clinton/Obama RECORD/Agenda doesn’t seem that bad?

I think anyone who says “no” to any of that is the real non-conservative.

"Reagan supported Ford in 1976 after losing the nomination to him. And, I’m sure he voted for Ford as well."

I wouldn't be sure of that at all. Reagan helped him only nominally and didn't exactly go the extra yard. He probably considered Ford and Carer to be basically the same. Since that election was pretty close to being 50-50, the electorate didn't perceive much difference between them. Reagan probably wanted Carter to win so that he could try again in 1980.

Uh huh.....our military that John McCain wins poltical points with liberals by telling the world they torture people?

Our troops at Ft. Leavenworth for accidently killing civilians in the fog of war in a war where they are fighting civilians and McCain wants to send terrorists from Gitmo to that same prison. He wants both terrorists and those who were trying to save American lives to be at the same prison and that is unforgiveable.

Those troops that are at forward operating bases that if captured by the enemy under McCain, would know that our interrogators can’t do so much as water-board terrorists with information that could save their lives?

The troops that John McCain wants to send to Iraq for the next 100 years to shed blood for a people whose values are rooted in a destructive cult?

That is not watching out for the backs of our troops. Sorry, but it isn’t.
