I hope he bombs hugely, and is shamed (or simply campaigned) out of the race.

Well, he is going to attempt to make the most conservative sounding speech of his life.

What to watch for is if those sitting there listening actually fall for it, or not.

He’s aiming for the future... the next presidential election where he may attempt to run again. He needs to make this a speech that will be remembered until at least 2011 when he can raise the spectre of his candidacy. I doubt he’ll rise to most people’s expectations.

I listened to his speech. I was not impressed by his “message”, nor his delivery. Those who say he is “Reaganesque”, do NOT remember Reagan’s ability to communicate with America’s soul.
