None of them.

If Huck steps aside it helps McCain. That might not have been the case a week ago, but that is the case today.

If Romney steps aside it helps Huck, but no amount of help is going to get Huck the votes.

In both cases McCain gets the nomination.

The only way to avoid a McCain nomination is to keep both Huck and Romney in the race and push for a brokered convention. Then work like mad between now and then to keep McCain out.

NO, Huckabee cannot. He has NO money, NO political support and NO organization. He cannot win. That just the hard factual data. Of the up coming states none of them are going for Huckabee. Based on the hard data Huckabee is a non factor. He cannot win. People need to make peace with that. Hoping for a miracle is not a campaign strategy yet that is what the Huckabee campaign is doing.

Huckabee first. He has mastered the Eddie-Haskellian art of appearing angelic as he does mischief, sweetly saying spiteful things, feigning innocence while his method and motive are obviously base. And I say this as one of Romney’s more ardent critics. Huckabee is as far beyond Romney in hypocrisy, as Romney is beyond John Kerry. I could tolerate a Romney presidency, and there’s a chance in a thousand he might actually do something conservative in office. But Huckabee is a snake.

McCain...of course McCain should go. Not saying he’d be bad for America, since he’ll never get that close in November. But if he had any regard for the party (the GOP), he wouldn’t be running. He will take the party down in flames. Our only hope is that he flames out soon enough to replace, like Eagleton.

And by the way, Mike Reagan. Why aren’t YOU running? Ok, you’ve written some boneheaded opinions once every blue moon, but you’re a thousand times better than McRombee.

Oh Yeah, McCain is the nominee even if we had a brokered Convention. I just wonder which school of thought is best.

A. Fight to the last bloody ditch. Make the party bleed. Maybe next time they will not take Conservatives for granted.

B. Get out of the way. Let the "we don't need no stinkin' Conservatives" faction lead by McCain crash the party on the rocks of a landslide defeat, come back after and pick up the pieces.

Well maybe MH and MR should both drop out and give RP their delegates.
The comedy alone would be worth it.

Perhaps there should be a cage match?

This'll only work if the rules include:

1. No two opponents may tag team
2. No opponent may spit or bite
3. No opponent may kick or hit below the belt line
4. No inanimate objects, such as Bibles, are allowed in the cage

But a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.

The GOP is running “ they have no where to go “ codependant abused spouse playbook for conservatives.

They think they OWN the votes no matter what they do.

The MSM already has the CPAC as McCain is the return of jesus christ to enlighten the petulant conservative children.

Grandpa McCain is pissed and he is gonna give them kids a whuppin’ to teach them some manners to their betters.

How about we start a pool as to how many times McCain does crocodile tears and mentions Ronald Reagan? I figure he is good for an easy ten mentions.

All 3 should drop out and throw their delegates to Fred. Fred reenters the race and becomes the winner immediately.

Problem solved.

“he’s going to chose a waterboy, someone who can’t out perform him, unfortunately there will be no shortage of inferior companions”.

You are right about that, and I might add personally, that as much as I dislike McCain, I will have a lot more disdain for whatever sorry twit that accepts a VP slot on McCain’s losing ticket.

Poop on the lot of them.

Maybe we should just get out of the way and let them try it. Fighting all the way to the Convention gives them a fig leaf to hide behind. They will say “Well if you had not made us fight it out, we could of won”
________

You also have a valid point.
