Mike Reagan on his show is soliciting opinions from the base: who should step aside: Romney? Huckabee? McCain?
Call in and tell Mike--you deserve to be heard.

>Perhaps there should be a cage match?<
I would pay to see that!
Huckabee has been used. McCain’s VP will be Liberman!
I say all 4 should stay in. The more they can pull from McCain the better.
Ditto on the D: None of the Above!
Huckabee, craves too much attention to ever be considered by McCain.
This is all about John McCain, he's going to chose a waterboy, someone who can't out perform him, unfortunately there will be no shortage of inferior companions.
Michael resents McCain trading on his fathers name.
He just talked to a guy who says its time to accept mccain as inevitable and for romney supporters to get on board...
The Party boys are telling us they can win without us icky right wingers. They got this brilliant “moderation” strategy based on polling data taken over a year before the election.
Maybe we should just get out of the way and let them try it. Fighting all the way to the Convention gives them a fig leaf to hide behind. They will say “Well if you had not made us fight it out, we could of won”
At least that way if they get destroyed with McCain in the General, they will have no one to blame but themselves.
All three ... they are all onions.
Once you peel back the layers to find out more what they are about and have been about ... it stinks and makes you cry.

Huckabee is on a mission. I would think a deal between McCain and Romney would be more likely.
I was wondering if maybe we should just get out of the way.
excellent!
“Even for Romney it is an almost impossible long shot but with his money, media support and organization, he has a chance.”
This analysis is correct - But there’s a problem with this approach. We shouldn’t be asking ANYONE to step aside. The reason Romney isn’t beating Huckabee is because - he just isn’t. I don’t like Huckabee, but pleas for him to step aside only entrench his delusioned followers, and they make Mitt look bad. How long before we hear that Mitt should step down.
Huckabee preaches a narrow brand of conservatism. But it is a brand of conservatism and it deserves to be heard. Romney preaches a strong brand of traditional conservatism, but in truth, hasn’t proved he has conservative “street creds”. This is how you get them. Take Huck on. Challenge him to a one on one debate. Call him out on the double team tactics. Make an issue of the Conservatives for Choice McCain endorsement. Something other than ask him to quit.
Mitt needs to Create the Energy, not ask it be delivered.
None. Fight for what you believe. Then get behind whoever wins.
We can’t have Ms. VRWC back in the WH.
McCain will never beat Hillary or Obama. He’s going to come across as a mean Bob Dole or G Bush Sr. Old and tired looking.
You spent more time on your excellent answer than this deserved. Obviously McCain has a lock. The only relevance on whether Romney and/or Huckabee drop out now is based on other considerations, e.g. influence at convention, etc
sorry but the BROKERED CONVENTION IS UTTER NONSENSE.
The RNC leaders have let it be known they expect whoever has the plurality to get the nod and the others to tow the line.
Brokered convention talk, respectfully is more illusory than huckabee thinking he has a legitimate shot at the candidacy OR the VP slot.
Huckabee can? No way. He could only win in the Deep South. He is a ridiculed in the swing states & even the red states of the Midwest & The Plains.
Huckabee is done.
he has NO MONEY.
he is out of gas.
finished.
finito
done
running on fumes.
He has nothing to fight with to get his “i hate mormons and the IRS” message out.
When you register to vote, you are not telling them what party you are a member of, you are telling them what primary you are going to vote in.
There is no reason for us not to start a third party, or swell the ranks of the Constitution Party.
We can all be members of both by giving the smallest possible contribution to make it "official".
Then we just sit back and let them guess which party we will be supporting in the next election.
