First time in 35-Year History CPAC Hosts Both Officeholders
ALEXANDRIA, VA The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the nation's oldest and largest annual gathering of conservative activists, students and policymakers, announced that President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney will address conference attendees at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.
This is the first time in the events 35-year history that both the sitting President and Vice President have addressed the attendees.
Vice President Cheney will speak on Thursday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m.
President Bush will speak on Friday, February 8 at 10:20 a.m.
CPAC Chairman David A. Keene said, We are delighted that conservatives will have the opportunity to welcome both President Bush and Vice President Cheney this year. It will be a great opportunity for thousands of conservatives, particularly the large number of students from across the country who attend, to hear from the president in person and evaluate the accomplishments of his administration.

CPAC is a project of the American Conservative Union Foundation, in association with Young America's Foundation and Human Events. On my way up. Is there a FReeper get together?
Security opens at 8 A.M.
Did they ban Ann Coulter?
Great .. hope you’ll report back. Ping me
if you do. There’s always FReepers
there .. you’ll find ‘em. Have a super
time.
But it was great with Cheney, Romney, Mccain, Ron Paul, Bush and then Huckabee. One location and they all came to us.
Thanks for the update!
I’ve been thinking about CPAC since I heard Ronald Reagan addressed CPAC in 1975.
Ann Coulter hasn’t swayed me yet but I’m beginning to understand why we need a “Carter” in order to get a “Reagan”.
Sad as that is.
Gee, is that why he got wild cheers and standing ovations at the CPAC conference? The guy at the head of American Conservative Union was there too, welcoming him in too!
Gosh, I guess the ACU isn’t what they’re supposed to be. Or could it be that Pres. Bush is more conservative than he gets credit for on here?
President Bush being for bigger government (including, but not limited to, creating another entitlement program that helps give senior citizens prescription drugs), out of control government spending along with too many Republicans in Congress prior to the Democrats taking over Congress, and being for amnesty for illegal immigrants isn’t truly being conservative no matter how much people like or hate President George W. Bush.
