Reports are rolling into talk radio stations in San Diego about massive Republican vote suppression.
Thousands of Republican voters in San Diego and as far north as Los Angeles showed up to vote on Tuesday only to be told that they were registered "Non-Partisan". This meant that they could not vote for the Republican Primary candidates.
Non-Partisan (independent) voters in California can vote for Candidates in any other party, including the Democrat party, but are prohibited from voting in the Republican Primary unless they are registered as a Republican.
Rick Roberts [http://www.760kfmb.com] is currently reporting on this and has had hundreds of calls and thousands of e-mails from people who showed up to vote only to be told they were not registered as Republcans. Reports began rolling into the Roger Hedgecock show yesterday.
Several people have called in saying they witnessed this happening at polling place they worked at as volunteers. One gentleman stated that he believed at least 20% of the Republicans that showed up to vote were denied a Republican primary form because the roster showed them as "Non-Partisan".
The Republican Party in California has begun investigating this issue, but the mainstream media continues to report that Californias election "went smoothly".
It seems clear that someone or some group managed to tamper with the voter registration rolls. Either by direct access to the Registrars computer system, or by gaining access to voter information and then sending in registration cards in their name.
Southern California was projected to go heavily in favor in Mitt Romny.
I’ve worked at three local poll locations in socal. Never have seen a poll watcher. I’d look for those in big cities or local elections with emotional issues. I don’t think it’s common in many locations. Thousands of polling places out there.

Well, the bigmouth seemed to be in charge. The other people sitting at the tables with the books all had blue hair, so I knew I didn’t have a chance. lol

While she was getting the cardboard “privacy” screen and my ballot for me, a neighbor came over to say hello. The bigmouth told her she’d have to leave....that my vote was private.

In the two counties in which I have worked in Cal, they don't have the capability to check the registration beyond what is there at the polls. The registrar's office is so swamped on electiuon day, they can't take time to look up the regirtrstaions. If they did, they'd have to add significant numbers of staff.
Some day this will all be on the net and people will wonder, why we were so backward.
And of course all the back room chad molesting in Fla.

The slot on the box was very narrow and the paper is flexible, not rigid. I did my best not to look at the ballot, but sometimes I had to look longer because the ballot was hung up.
We asked the regional supervisor three times yesterday for security sleeves and were never given any. I recall about 5 people asking and them accepting my answer.
When I voted in person last time, I argued that I didn't want them to handle my ballot. Finally, they let me put it in the box.
But you're right, not very "secret."
I believe that the massive voter suppression experienced by the party is a direct result of the RNC putting it's force behind RINO candidates.

I was 14 when I was listening about Chicago in the 1960 election. Later I read about how LBJ got started. One of my fav stories was in 2000, I think, they found a box of ballots floating in SF bay, another democrat strongholdd.

It doesn’t have to be aimed at Romney voters. By suppressing the traditional conservative Republican vote, in those areas that are known to be more conservative (San Diego, Orange County, Contra Costa), the more liberal candidates benefit.
Some official had some boxes in his trunk IIRC, and it was pretty shady.
Oh well, we always get Boxer, Feinstein and that ex-welfare Rep of Marine county elected.
