Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didnt pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States when men were free.

We need to remember not just the policies but also the tactics. President Reagan was clear that Republicans should be strong on policies but avoid personal attacks...
And he stood on the podium and endorsed Gerald Ford in 1976.
And he took George Bush into the administration even after Bush called Reagan’s plan “voodoo economics.”
Policies are important but so are tactics and the character reflected by those tactics.
It’s my birthday as well. Did I luck out or what?
