most conservative blogs were anti-mccain by a wide margin. Just mystified as to who is VOTING for the guy. HOW IS HE WINNING??

It seems quite clear that conservative blogs are not a very good indicator of how Republican primary voters will vote.

Perhaps conservatives have overestimated their own influence.

IMO, the folks who are voting for McCain have gotten sick of "conservatives" and their single-issue antics. Conservatives might want to learn from their mistakes -- but many or most will not.

Exactly...by no longer holding their noses to vote for whatever RINO gets the GOP nomination. Or were you suggesting that conservatives just abandon their principles altogether?

Well In FL, 20% of the votes cast in the GOP primary were cast by democrats and independents, the governor, a pal of McCains relaxed the rules...so in FL if you want to know who put MCain over the top, it was the democrats who’s primary meant nothing and they wanted to elect who they thought would be the easiest to beat...

So who’s voting for MCain, democrats crossing over to help McCain win the nomination, that’s who...

Want to make a bet that McCain loses to the dems? He will lose.

The polls that says McLian will win the dems, will change as soon as he wins the nomination.

And the Rinos will take the party down once more.

You would think the party would have wanted to learn from its mistakes re: Dole 1996 -- but they will not.

Ping me when McCain wins the Presidency. Ask for Blue boy. I'll be holding my breath.
