LIVE THREAD II
Yeah, we're blowing our only real chance of losing all 50 states in November. Too bad.
I don’t agree. They probably have been conservative since before you ever heard the word. I have been listening to Rush since 1989 and can’t recall a liberal position he has takeen on any issue.
Robert Bork, Pete Hoekstra, and Jay Sekulow are not talk show hosts. I’ll let you figure out why they are famous conservatives.
I’m starting to think there may be some truth to the Bain Capital/Clear Channel conspiracy theory.
I mean, Glenn Beck’s a Mormon— so his support of Romney is explainable by that alone.
But Rush? Perhaps he got an ultimatum. You all remember what happened to Don Imus? Well, Clear Channel could do the exact same thing to Rush— and NOT let him out of his contract, leaving him off the air for years and no way out. And just because Romney no longer holds a position in Bain doesn’t mean he still holds influence— Dick Cheney still holds quite a bit of power in the Halliburton organization. Funny now that Romney’s on the ropes, that all of a sudden Rush all but endorses him as the only conservative candidate remaining.
But then again, I’ve been distrustful of the media for years.
what politician doesnt lie,please
It’s already over. We’ve lost. No matter who wins, conservatives lose. Welcome the global government (or village if you’re a Clinton). We’ve lost the Republic.
Is it Ben Franklin who said we are a republic if we can keep it? Well Ben, sorry we couldn’t...
“McCain pushed through the new NFL stadium by pushing the FAA to approve, yada, yada, yada. The stadium used $305 million in taxpayer dollars. Guess who gets the exclusive NFL contract for beer? Cindy McCain. Hello!!!!”
I don’t think you have your story quite right. The beer companies pay sponsorship fees to individual pro-sports teams to be featured in individual stadiums. If the NFL is anything like MLB and the NHL, the league doesn’t “contract” beer distributors.
Oh please. Third party is always a loser - it’s delusional thinking.
ME EITHER!!!! Won’t vote for McPain...
If it’s McPain, who are we going to write in?.. That’s becoming question.
Exactly. No reasonable person can assure themselves that Romney won’t flip back to liberal on all the issues he converted to over the last few years.
I live here in Arizona, tons of people are out voting against McCain. I mean a ton!!! I think McCain is in for a surprize tonight!!!
HE IS GOING DOWN!!!! AZ is going for Romney!
If McCain is elected, I can live with that.
I won’t be disappointed as I have zero expectations.
I just know he would be better than Hillary.
Hi Rintense. It isn’t just rock-ribbed conseratives who reject McCain. I’ve always been more moderate than the typical FR denizen. I could have supported any of several Republican candidates this cycle, but I will never vote for McCain. He has betrayed Republicans time and time again. In particular, his McCain-Feingold Act was a direct assault on the 1st Amendment and, as such, was a total betrayal of his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. Anyone who treats the Constitution, his sworn oath, and the rank-and-file of his own party so shabbily doesn’t deserve my vote.
The RNC as a whole was when they actively campaigned against conservatives in favor of RINOs like Specter. They no longer get money from me. I don’t know how to make it any clearer for you.
Rush said Huckabee didn't matter. I wonder if he's eating those words now.
So you are a Posthumus Democrat, then. (heh, heh)
Bravo!
Yikes. Are tornadoes common in Tenn?
