What, you didn’t see that special report on the news about how unrestrained heavy objects could be a hazard in a crash?
Now here’s the spin that should be on this story: Drunk drug abusing woman runs red light, endangering toddler. Because I’m not into Nanny State rules and regulations about seat belt wearing - I wear mine, my kids wear theirs, my wife wears hers, but I’m not going to order someone else to wear theirs.
Oh, and just so it’s noted: The seat belt law meant nothing to her, just as the drunk driving laws meant nothing, or illegal substance abuse meant nothing...

4) a 24-pack of beer in the front passenger seat of her car was restrained by a seat belt, but a 16-month-old girl was not
5) Asked if she'd been drinking, she told the deputy, "I had a few."
6) two metal pipes were found in her purse
