Apparently, a handful of former Fred Thompson supporters are keeping the faith. Theyve been trying to organize grassroots supporters to vote for Thompson anyway, despite the fact that hes dropped out of the race
There is a reason Fred Thompson hasnt endorsed any other Republican candidate for President. If the FRED ARMY can come through on Super Tuesday and deliver a victory in Tennessee, he will re-enter the race and give us the conservative alternative we need!
Mitt Romney is a phony conservative. John McCain is an honorable servant, but he is not the right man to represent our party. Mike Huckabee is a liberal in conservative clothing.
Only Fred Thompson can save our party and our nation.
Fred may not be out on the campaign trail, but you can be. His name is still on the ballot and we can still get the word out. This election year is unlike any other. Fred Thompson was leading the polls before he got into the race, theres no good reason why he cant lead again.
Get out and vote for Fred! Wave signs for Fred! Call friends, call family members, open the phone book and call everyone! Make a YouTube video or share an eCard to remind people they can still vote for Fred.
Victory in Tennessee means victory for America!
We can and we must win!
Imagine the headlines: Thompson wins more delegates than Ron Paul or Mike Huckabee! Thompson beats Huckabee in California, Alabama, and New York! Thompson re-enters race as Romney and Huckabee drop out!
WE CAN DO IT! LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!
FRED THOMPSON 2008 - FRED FOREVER!
The idea isnt quite as crazy as it might sound. Back in 1992, Paul Tsongas suspended his campaign and then rejoined the race, thinking Clinton had been fatally wounded by a string of sex scandals. It didnt quite work for Tsongas, but he did perform well in New York.
It won’t work. Remember when Perot did it? He lost the faith of half of his supporters, and ended up handing the White House to Clinton.
Fred decided to back out, and he will stick to that decision. I love Fred Thompson, and I was totally bummed when he dropped out because I really think he should have hung in there at least until today.
Keep Hope Alive! Vote Mitt Today so we can Vote Mitt Tomorrow!
“Mitt Romney is a phony conservative. John McCain is an honorable servant”
MCINSANE PROPAGANDA BS.
Truly, folks are just flipping out, this is borderline delusional ...
Three of us, now.
Vote for Fred, and you will be voting for John McCain.
Fred is probably voting for Romney.
Wake up dude.
“I personally think the campaign is obscenely long and would rather see it compressed back to the year before election day.”
Agree with you there. It’s ridiculous.
I don’t blame FRed.
He was fighting with moles in his campaign, who were holding a grudge over the departure of the Fox guy who joined the campaign. Every time he started getting ahead, they floated another vicious rumor.
He couldn’t root them out. He was going to have to fire a good portion of his staff, and he knew he couldn’t continue if that happened, due to bad press and lack of staff.
I would love to see a brokered convention where conservatism comes out the winner but I’m not optimistic that we can derail the McInsane Express. We’ll know a lot more tomorrow.
I’ll be voting for Fred...in the primary and in the general as well.
Please don’t do this. I was for Thompson but he is out. Forget HUCK, Paul, and the rest. Vote for Romney and let’s roll.
I guess we all have a different definition of what wasting means.
I voted for Fred this morning :)
I don’t expect it will have any impact, but I just could not bring myself to vote for anyone else.
I agree with your comments on the length of the campaign season, and I had no problem with why he entered the race when he did. My problem with his campaign stems from how it was run once he was in. He did well on framing the issues, but did not “campaign” well. Yes, part of the problem stemmed from lack of media attention, but there are ways a candidate can make his own ‘news’ and Fred did none of that. He appeared in debates and did tours. That was it.
I really wanted to see him take hold. But he never did and, frankly, I do find some fault with him on that.
No “weakminded” is thinking anyone buys the Romney camp line that “a vote for anyone but ME ME ME ME is a vote for McCain.”
Note even Huckleberry supporters are dumb enough to buy that.
Sorry, Romney is a from-the-cradle liberal; worse than McCain (who at least is actually honestly pro-life), just a better liar.
All Romney is doing is running to the right, as his liberal father Romney, Sr. advised him to do after Romney, Sr. got his arse whooped by Richard Nixe because Romney, Sr. openly admitted being a liberal and advocated surrender in Vietnam.
Myth Romney, McQueer, and the Huckster and are all losers, and it is time to leave the plantation.
That’s also what mrs riverdawg and I decided this morning. We briefly thought about voting strategically in the Democrat primary, for the candidate whom we thought would be easier to beat in November. We couldn’t decide whether that was Obama or Hillary.
he never should have dropped out so soon... he ought to have waited until after today...
I live in Tenn. 11 miles from the Ark. border. The sun in shining and it is 68.8 degrees.
