In other words, he did what made him "feel good", something liberals do.

Your words, your self-identification.

My Minnesota family and friends are voting for Romney, he has the best economic plan, and did best in the debates. Huckabee’s joking did not serve him well in the debates, he couldn’t bring himself to be serious about every time he was asked a question.

Actually, as much as I wanted to vote for Senator, I wanted my vote to have a shot at making an impact, I voted Mitt. Conservatives take action.

Romney is the only candidate Democrat or Republican with a good solid, viable economic plan.

My quote, I stand by it.

Economics, Romney has a strong plan, and a great argument to bring to the Democrats.

When it comes to economics, there's no plan like no plan. Anyone who thinks a President can steer the economy is a Keynesian/socialist.

I disagree with your vote, but I have to say that you just gave the best argument I’ve heard in a while for McC. That being said, I’ll still caucus for Mitt tonight, because I’m still convinced that (a) the media will compeltely savage and destroy McC once he’s actually an official presidential candidate; and (b) even if he miraculously wins, his hopeless temperament will make him a disastrous president.

I apologize for my comment, kcat. I didn’t mean to imply your daughter learned her values in the streets. I hope it didn’t come across that way. I meant that conservatism NEEDS to be taught at home because kids don’t see if anywhere else. Schools and the MSM teach them only liberalism.

I don’t understand voting against Hillary in the primary, but then vote Repub in the general as a strategy, if I understand it right. How does that help? Do you think Obama will be easier to beat? (I thought Hillary, with her baggage and now her crying, would be easier)

There’s no doubt McCain will play dirty. He is doing it already against Romney. It might be entertaining to watch since the Dems are masters at it. Especially since at that point, I won’t care which liberal wins.

No ...I don’t think you get it.

After McAmnesty gets them SS....they’re are going to give all 20 million illegals the right to vote.

*We* will not win another election for decades if that happens.

In fact, I predict Gore and Clinton will move AGAIN to re-write the US Constitution.

Think McCain will say no? He’s already attacked the First Amendment...

No, you *did* waste your vote. Enjoy the consequences.

That could’ve been the case. Surely, without a Republican president pushing some liberal policies that the base hated, the party would be in a better position now. Less fractured.

I guess I don’t anticipate pain like you are - just a severe depression ;(

So I guess the vote of the people doesn’t count for much then? I hate McCain even more now.

Romney did not promise Michigan a $20 billion bailout. He supported a $20 Billion govt funded project to research alternative fuels which would help MI but would help reduce American dependence on foreign oil and positively impact national security. That is very different from an auto industry handout which would be a bad idea.

If we’re going to use govt funds for research, a Manhattan project style approach to create a viable mainstream alternative fuel for cars. I can think of far worse uses of public funds than this idea from Romney.
