Tee Hee! I always get dirty looks when I go to vote and they see I am a Republican. Last time the whole place turned around and stared at me like I had horns on my head! LOL!

A little dweeb 25 year old male in my office said.. he just heard McCain beats Clinton or Obama. He asked me if that made me happy... and I told him they are three peas in a pod. And I will not vote for any of the three.

Duncan Hunter is my choice, and I have no need to make any apologies to anyone, including myself.

When it comes down to it, what you think of yourself after your vote is what matters most. That is one of the myriad reasons I could not vote for Romney in clear conscience.

You’re absolutely right. It’s pretty natural for young people to want to rebel. The idea of a socialist utopia is very appealing to them, so they tend to really buy in to the Democrats line of BS. Some of them will grow up and see the reality of the situation, and the rest will become bitter with their lives and remain Dems.

I’m just glad that some of those young dreamers are looking the other way, towards drastically limited government instead. They’re always gong to be disappointed, but at least they’re on the right path. I guess that means I’m still young at heart. :-)

That’s very true. My parents were very conservative Republicans and Dad was a Councilman for over 30 years. At 18, I registered as an indy and protested my parents by voting for McGovern. Ouch! Hurts to admit it.

Does anyone have a timeline for this evening, when the polls in each state are closing and when results are expected?

Passing an economics test should be a requirement for winning the privilege to vote. This of course means that John McCain wouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Interesting idea. That would have limited it to Hunter, Thompson, Keyes, Tancredo, and Paul on the ballot. A bit more palatable.

Property requirements would help a lot too.

I’m doing the same in a few hours. I just heard someone on FNC say the youth vote is 18-29. I had 4 kids at 29. No wonder it’s taking people so long to grow up. No real responsibilities.

Let me tell ya, it feels good to vote after all this time of talking about it - at least it did for me.

I lit up the Green X for Fred Thompson, and hit the button.

Man, that was wonderful!

Your right about no responsibilities of young people today, but let me tell you - don't dump on this generation too much.

When I was a Lt Col and retiring from the military, I was amazed at the patriotism, sacrifice, and dedication of 18 and 19 year olds that were serving.

It literally blew me away. This present generation is another "Greatest Generation" - at least part of it.

The media has given McCain the Title of Strongest on the War on Terror. I’m hoping that conservatives don’t believe that myth and forget about the things McCain did against them.

They wrapped up by reminding us that “Republicans need to show a photo I.D., Democrats don’t.”

MrL9teen says if it’s between Hillary & McCain, he’ll vote for McCain, but he’ll be holding his nose and his ass.

there is the problem.

McCain or Obama or Hillary are all the same.

Same left wing insiders in the positions behind the scenes. It is no different that Arlen Specter having an R but all D staffers.
