Hunter lost all credibility with me when he endorsed the Christian socialist.

18 year old daughter just got home and we are going together for her to vote for the first time. She is voting for Obama to get rid of Clinton, cant vote for Romney because he is too wishy washy and he could change his mind when in office. Her words.
Sounds like she hasn't been brought up with conservative principles in the home. Those values should be taught at home, while liberal values are taught in the streets and alleys.

Romney has to pull out California and one other state or the Republican Party is dead until 2016.
McCain’s liberal establishment boys totally outmaneuvered conservatives and used Huckabee to do it. McCain will get the nomination barring a miracle in California. Thus, Obama or Hill/Bill will get to appoint 2 Supreme Court Justice that will kill the Right to Life movement for the next 40 years. The writing is on the wall - all that McCain has to do is pull the curtain open after California.

I’m off to vote for Romney here in Pasadena, and against the Fabian Nunez Term Extension Act.

Do you know Huckabee better than Duncan Hunter? How many policy discussions have you had personally with Mike Huckabee?

"Sounds like she hasn't been brought up with conservative principles in the home. Those values should be taught at home, while liberal values are taught in the streets and alleys."
I generally don't defend liberals, but I am driven to defend young liberals and their parents against statements like these.
To be young is to be liberal. It's part rebellion, part innocent ignorance, part youthful dreams and ambition which give one to believe that they can change the world through radical ideas.
Yes, conservative parents should work to instill their ideals in their children, but children will go their own way as they're wont to do. The best one can hope for is that, once the real world begins to open their eyes, they will recall the values of their parents and return to them.

George Washington was a Masonite which some people consider a cult...Made a great President.
Your point is well taken. Further, I have never really heard a definitive answer as to Lincoln's religious leanings, at least not in terms of any specific church or creed.
But I've always liked this vignette from Carl Sandburg's Abraham Lincoln: The Prairie Years,...the pulpiteer called for all who intended to go to heaven to please rise. Naturally, the response was heartening. Then he called for all those who wished to go to hell to stand. Not many takers. Lincoln had responded to neither option. Cartwright [the before mentioned pulpiteer] closed in. "Mr. Lincoln, you have not expressed an interest in going to either heaven or hell. May I enquire as to where you do plan to go?" Lincoln replied: "I did not come here with the idea of being singled out, but since you ask, I will reply with equal candor. I intend to go to Congress."
While he's was not my first choice, I doubt that Mitt, if elected, would be taking political direction from Elder Monson.

Economics is my standard, I want the Government to get control of it’s budget and keep tax rates low. Romney is there, he can says it can be done. McDole won’t win. Huckabee is far-fetched to win, Ron Paul’s budget is no taxes fantasy, Hunter is out, Thompson is out. Folk who continue to waste their votes on candidates who aren’t in the race is like a hard-headed tantrum to me.

Well, I just got home from the voting booth.
I got a dirty look from one of the ladies working there when, upon questioning, I said I was a Republican. She whispered something under her breath as I was leaving and the rest of the ladies immediately came to my defense, saying I was a really nice girl.
Probably because I bring 2 dozen Dunkin Donuts every vote... just to let them know i appreciate them.
Anyway.... I voted, but I think my vote was wasted.
