Its a great day to vote for Mitt Romney almost everywhere.
Huckabee is strongest in Arkansas, Alabama and Oklahoma by my estimation and I guess he should win there with our votes, but not because we like him. McCain will be denied those states for media orgasms tonight.
Otherwise go Romney everywhere and anywhere today, especially in California.
If Mitt can win there it will send a message that will matter in spite of any media spin tonight.
Sadly the MSM will be Obamaizing, McCaniacking and in some cases Hillarizing the results.
Mitt can do it today if everyone gets in the game for him.
He's close in Missouri, Tennesssee and Georgia, too.
But get ready for a McCain sweep in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Delaware. McCain is leading in Arizona, but he's not much above 40 percent.
Romney is up in Utah, Colorado and Massachusetts, plus tied or leading in California.
I hope Mitt can pull it off in Montana, maybe Alaska.
Thumbs up for Mitt today.
Meanwhile, yesterday the "Wall Street Journal" published a fascinating article on the group supporting Huckabee from its Colorado Springs headquarters.
This Common Sense organization that started the "Trust Huckabee" group and website is headed by some political hack named Patrick Davis.
The story says that Davis has pictures of President Bush and Vice-President Cheney in his office. Davis also reportedly had his first political job on the campaign of George H.W. Bush.
This "Trust Huckabee" group has done dirty work to promote Huckabee and trash his opposition like Mitt Romney and McCain.
I wonder what the real story is about this group and its motivations. Who really wants to help Huckabee's campaign in this stealthy way?
My operating theory is that the GOP leadership (President and Vice-President) wants a McCain succession ironically for a continuity in foreign policy.
Guys like Mel Martinez and Tom Ridge who are real "friends" of the President are fully behind McCain.
McCain, just like Bob Dole in 1996, is the next in line.
McCain isn't losing Oklahoma.
Mitt supporters are as presumptuous and arrogant as their Hero. Step aside Huck, step aside Flyboy and let the Real Conservative prevail! What a joke. Sorry, but McCains latest ad shows that this guy really believes in nothing. except Mitt Willard and his latest Ego project.
Romney is as fake as his hair color.
Now that is truth... I been saying it for quite sometime..
Again I ask...who will you be voting for?
Look, I was a Fred supporter but he's no longer an option.
Would you rather we all stayed home? Yeah, that's a great way to fight the left.
Its quite possible McCain will win there with a divided vote against him.
Free Republic Poll, which shows that puppage is part of the majority here at Free Republic on who we wish to see as President, and tombeverly is just a grumbler.
(2/2) Which GOP presidential hopeful do you want to see win the most delegates on Super Tuesday?
Mitt Romney
71.9%
Ron Paul
14.9%
Mike Huckabee
7.3%
John McCain
5.9%
RCP has McCain up an average 7 points in Alabama. Intrade overwhelmingly favors him to win there.
Even last night I was contemplating sitting out. The only thing motivating me at this point is anti-McCain feelings. Another good justice or two. But I’m gonna trrrryyy and go vote for Romney. It’s just pretty tough to get motivated. I feel a responsibility to vote in the general, but maybe a protest vote in the primary is worth something?
Ron Paul isn’t such a bad guy but his anti-war riff disqualifies and discredits him.
Huck is strong as I said, but not in the lead.
He’s the only one who has a chance to beat McCain there.
I not telling it's a Secret... :)
Ron Paul will defend this Country. I trust him over anyone that is running.
So you think only Ron Paul supporters should be on this site?
Ron Paul and Alan Keyes are the only Conservatives in the race. That is not my choice but a fact.
So. . .you’re saying only Ron Paul and Alan Keyes supporters should be on FR?
I don’t think Huckabee will win much of anything tonight, so, all the states where Huck is in 2nd means a McCain win (McCain is doing no worse than 2nd in any state, as far as I can tell, which Romney can’t say), and OK is one of those states where Romney is in 3rd.
Unfortunately, we know the communist Northeast states like NY and NJ will love John McCain.
the Remaining 29% are out in force here on FR today.
They’re as noisey as the small percentage of gay activists.
Ditto for Mitt here in Mizzou. Noticed Fred was still on the ballot.
