She clearly stated:
I'm not one of those folks who will say that I won't vote for him.
She earlier said that she just didn't think this was the time to turn to party over to the Dole/Ford wing of the Republican Party.
She called McCain an amazing man, and that she deeply respected him.

I think you have a good idea that needs to be fleshed out more.
In a parliamentary system we could do just that. The only way to do it in our Constitutional Republic is by outside agreement. I will never support the CP’s anti-defense plank. I’ll never support the LP’s cultural-moral-free-for-all.
But, that doesn’t mean we don’t have other important things in common.
Not sure about Hunter, but Thompson (who I supported) ran a stupid campaign. Of course he would never be the nominee. I’m just thankful that Rudy ran a similarly stupid campaign.
Its a fact of record. Check the record of any of these yahoos, and youll find liberal statements and liberal acts to fill this forum.
Sure, I'm not denying that. I voted for the candidate I agreed with most in the FL primary (Paul) and in the general I will vote third party.
Hi, Ksen, howve you been!! :>)
I'm doing good xzins. I'm happy to see you again.
Yes, he went after right-to-lifers in court because they challenged his CFR law. They had the temerity to mention Feingold’s name in their ad and McCain went after them. McCain is evil incarnate.
You are saying there is an alternative?
Nah. She doesn't know anything, it's way too early for that and the polls are what they are and many are showing a shift to Romney. It may be too little, too late but they are showing a shift. I think Romney comes out of today with major momentum.
I think that Laura is getting a little squeamish regarding all the talk about folks leaving the GOP and voting 3rd party or staying home if McCain gets the nod and she's trying to get infront of that so it can't be pinned on her. As for me...I want no part of any party that would have John McCain as it's nominee for President.
Regardless who wins (Hussein, Mrs. Filegate, or McCain), amnesty will be passed. With some 15 million new Democrat voters, the Dems have a guaranteed lock on the elections for a decade.
The best we can hope for is to become a loud-mouthed minority who they ignore.
If you dont believe as I believe, every thought, every word, every utterance, you are unworthy of my vote. If you cant do it precisely as I dictate, you are unworthy of my vote.
The fact I will elect a Marxist by disapproval of the minutest perceived imperfection is not relevant. Death and dishonor are preferable to casting a vote for someone who lacks the perfection of credentials I demand.
The country can go to hell, but I will remain true to my biases and even some personal bigotry while not voting or while actively killing the candidate I find repugnant. My thoughts will remain pure even as the country is destroyed and I can smugly say not my fault, I laid out a pure and perfect course
I’m reporting what was just said on Fox n Friends.
So far as exit polling, it’s just a matter of record. The media types monitor returns throughout the day. It is also true that early morning, before-work voting is huge.
If she really believes he means it (and I doubt she does) then her judgment is worse than I thought.
Flashback 2004
Kerry Aides See McCain As Perfect Running Mate
The Boston Globe listens inside Sen. John Kerry’s campaign for speculation about his running mate. “If there is a consensus among Kerry aides about who would be the boldest and most potent pick, it is Senator John S. McCain of Arizona — a Republican.”
“While Kerry has talked about his search with few people other than his wife, campaign manager, and the head of his search committee, Washington power broker James A. Johnson, many high-level staff members believe — based on Kerry’s past and recent comments — that McCain will get serious consideration.”
MSNBC reports “Speculation is running rampant over a possible Kerry-McCain ticket, in part because that trial balloon has not been shot down.”
The Dallas Morning News says McCain is “Kerry’s favorite Republican.”

The reality is I won’t vote for him. Period.
I’m not sure what McCain has done in the past to suggest he does not go after what he promises.
I’m not a McCain fan, but I know of nothing to claim he does not keep his promises.
"Thank you! My coronation is near... My appointment of the next 3 Supreme Court Justices is near... My humiliation of the US Armed Forces as their Commander in Chief is near... Thank you!"
You posted: McCain is far from ideal, but on the most important issue for me, National Defense, he is much ahead of the others.
To be fair, Clinton is also pretty safe on this issue. Shes more stalwart than Bill (who supported the Iraq war in the beginning but now has turned tail).
McCain wont have much to edge Clinton on this issue. He would against Obama.

Clinton talked a good game when the Iraq invasion vote came up, but has declared she will pull out of Iraq if elected. There is also the bitter taste of her hatred for the military as she was “gaining experience” while in the White House. Perhaps she has mellowed. The big problem with Clinton, however, is her divisiveness. There are some who love her, some on the Dem who tolerate her or like that she will prolong the poisoned hatred that is killing the political discourse in this country, and many, including dems, who simply see her for what I believe she is, a lying, conniving candidate totally devoid of any real principles. Goldwater girl to feminist to purported poverty opponent to children’s rights activist to ashtray thrower and apologist for a serially adulterous husband, to most recently, a conveniently-timed crybaby.
A voice of sanity. Good for her.
Laura is free to do as she chooses. So am I.
And what would they show? That NY might go to McCain...gosh I'm shocked! What's the exit poll data from CA like? How about Utah? Anyone heard how it's going in IL? Give me a break. The idea that Laura Ingram or anyone else had any secret info at 8:00 am is ridiculous.
I don't think that's a good thing - I think it's a pre-civil war thing - but I think it's likely.
NOBODY can know who they are voting for in February for an election that is happening ten months later.
Ten months in politics is forever.
