A folksy Minister with a nanny state political agenda, no political organization, no money and no support anywhere in the Conservative media who has made stunning gaff after gaff who polls at the bottom almost everywhere in every poll(
or a articulate successful business man and former Govt with a $250 million war chest, a strong political organization and the backing of virtually the entire Conservative media Establishment who is ahead or within a few points of McCain in virtually every poll?
Yet on the other, they would switch to Mitt if Huckabee would drop out.
Which is it?
I have no doubt that Huckabee likes McCain better than Mitt. So he stays in to help McCain.
What is wrong with that?
Mitt should be depending on other candidates to help him win. He can’t seem to close the deal himself.
That is his fault alone.
we think it is more important to defeat pro-abortion pro-gay anti-gun Romney, just as we defeated pro-abortion pro-gay anti-gun Rudy.
“who is ahead or within a few points of McCain in virtually every poll?”
While I believe the race is fairly close, Romney is certainly not within a few points in “virtually every poll.”
The RCP national average has McCain leading by 18.3%, and that’s an average of 8 polls.
“A folksy Minister “
That folksy politician won two elections for lieutenant governor and continued to win elections to serve another 10 or 11 years as governor.
The Mormon bishop and priest only served one single term as a governor.
For what seems the millionth time -- NOT TRUE!!!
The staff at National Review Online quoted polls saying if Huck was out of the race the vast majority of his supporters would go to McCain.
Polling in southern states also bears that out -- when Huck slides, McCain's numbers grow while Romney remains static.
FACE IT -- social conservatives do not trust Romney!!!!! He flipped on guns, abortion, traditional marriage, gays in the Boy Scouts, EVERY ISSUE important to social conservatives.
For the record, National Review endorsed Romney.
