And, God willing, Arizona.
Today the WSJ ran an article about the secret groups that are funding Huckabee and Obama, no mention of McCain. However, the man who is funding the PAC, Trust Huckabee, which ran the Florida push polls, has closer ties to McCain than to Huckabee. It's a financier, named Charles Lindner.
See if this rings any bells:
The Keating One,' and Carl Lindner From 1981the year before John McCain ran for U.S. Congressuntil the early 1990s, the former Navy pilot was totally beholden to junk bond swindler Charles Keating for his political fortunes. When the S&L scandal exploded and Federal prosecutors were breathing down Keating's neck, it was McCain who tried to bully Federal regulators into backing off. While the affair became known as the "Keating Five" scandal, none of the other members of the Senate and House implicated in the ethics violations, were as closely tied to Keating as John McCain.
And Charles Keating was no "loan assassin." He was but one player in a larger organized crime apparatus that ran the $200 billion-plus rip-off, in what may have been the biggest actual RICO (racketeering) scheme ever.
Between 1959 and the late 1980s, Charles Keating was the business partner of Carl Lindner, the Cincinnati, Ohio-based financier who would be one of the central figures in the $200 billion S&L rip-off. In 1959, Lindner and Keating co-founded American Financial Corporation (AFC). Keating served as the mortgage and insurance company's general counsel, and later as vice president.
Between 1974 and 1976, Lindner and Keating engineered a series of stock purchases and mergers with some of the leading figures in the Lansky crime syndicatewho had followed the Bronfman family recipe, and gone from "rags, to rackets, to riches, to respectability."
You'd actually put money on an angry old coot liberal when he's running against a charismatic younger liberal? Please...
If my party nomiates John McCain, I will find a new party.
Sounds like wishful thinking by the Drive-by Media and their troll allies.
“I cant believe McCain is polling as highly in Arizona. Our state has only now started evicting the illegal invaders (no thanks to Juan McCain) and the rest of the nation is taking note. Irrespective of his being an Arizona senator, how the heck can a pro-Amnesty dimwit like McCain get any traction here.”
It still seems it’s a weak showing at 43% to 34% over Romney in Arizona. Mitt’s leading Juan 55% to 23% in Massachusetts.
With that poll being from 1/31/2008, maybe Arizona’s tightened up like some other states in the past few days. This primary season is so bunched up. I think if there were more time, more voters would take a closer look at Juan’s record and he’d be toast. Plus the stalking horse Huckabee factor would become obvious to more.
Is she high? She would have to be really drugged to live with that nasty old coot.
Oh Pleazzze, NO!
I could vote Mitt, I could vote Huckster, I could vote Paul, but McCain is just to much to ask of me. I’m with Ann Coulter on this one.
Agreed. I won't vote for a Hillary-grade candidate just because he has an 'R' by his name.
He makes Norman Bates look normal.
This photo will give me a nightmare tonight.
Me too. Sadly. Very sadly. I understand her thinking why now, and it makes diabolical sense, trying to minimize losses.
Still, I don't see Hillary winning the presidency in the end, call it a hunch.
One thing to factor in is that if Hillary gets the nomination, there are male Democrats who dislike her so much they may cross over. I don't think it would be all about her gender; they just dislike her that much. Whether they would pick Romney, McCain or 3rd party is an unknown. You'd think people in business would prefer Romney, and we know liberals are not happy about the war in Iraq, but I wouldn't take any of that to the bank.
I'm still hoping Romney will win, have done all I can for now. The RNC is playing a deadly game. Maybe it is because of Romney's Mormonism and he wasn't their anointed one. I don't know what they are thinking. They can't be that stupid, but if McCain gets his way on amnesty, it's over for the Republicans for a long time, maybe forever, because they will vote Dem. Other than that, I don't hate Hispanics, but that many at once is too much.
The above is a listing of all of the polls, state-by-state.
At the bottom is a chart that has them summarized by primary date.
Why does he keep getting re-elected?
That’s a nice site as far as organization is concerned. Good layout and comprehensive. I personally believe that the results will be somewhat different than what they predict. Tuesday will be a good incidation. I am hoping that by the end of the day tomorrow we see Mitt with 450 or more delegates. We shall see.
Its bad enough the mainstream media is shoving this old man down our throats, but now the republican party says its him or no-one, they can kiss my ??? I will not vote for him, if he is the nominee, I will not vote for republicans nominees for congress, governor or any other position. I am maaaad, I am looking into the constitution party and others.
The RNC will not even respond to people like me, I have been a republican all of my life; time to move on
