TINLEY PARK, Ill. — A massive manhunt stretched into its third day Monday in the search for a gunman who killed five women — a manager and four customers — in the back room of a clothing store.
The gunman entered the Lane Bryant store in a strip mall southwest of downtown Chicago on Saturday morning where he herded the victims to the back of the store before he shot them to death. The five victims include a part-time nurse, social worker, real estate agent with two sons and two others.
A sixth victim, who pretended to be dead after a bullet grazed her neck, is recovering from the incident and helping police put together a composite sketch of the gunman

How much you want to bet that when they find him, they’ll discover that he has a record long enough to ask the question, “Why wasn’t this guy in jail?”
In the stretch of south Lake Michigan shore that runs from the south side of Chicago through Gary, Indiana and up into Benton Harbor, Michigan? Not as easy as you think.
Yeah- There is probably only a few thousand of them running around Chicago with guns.
I thought I heard somewhere that he was already a convicted murderer? I may be wrong, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Hopefully he has his face tattoed like Mike Tyson. If not, there's probably half a million guys who fit this description.
Don't worry though. The reward will smoke him out. One of his buddies is going to drop a dime on him and cash in big time.

In his own neignborhood, he might be easier to spot, especially if anybody knew where he’d been that day. If he weighed about half as much he’d be a lot harder to spot. Of course, given that it is winter, and if he’d planned a disguise, a much lighter man could have dressed up as a heavier one to perpetrate the crime.
HOW SAD.
First there was the shooting in the mall in Omaha in early December, and now this one. More innocent victims just doing an everyday activity like shopping. This dude obviously has no regard for anyone’s life but his own. It will be interesting to see if he fits the profile of a criminal. Such as, is he fatherless, a high school dropout, jobless or no job prospects, etc. And, another good question will be : did he posess his gun legally. Anybody think he was in violation of various gun control laws, in addition to the obvious horrific loss of life he caused?
That's probably what will happen. Just look at how long it took Michael Vick's "brothers" to rat him out.

Ok, I may be confusing this story with another. I thought they knew who it was, but weren't announcing during pursuit.
For what reason did he need to kill these women?
The irony is that if he had simply walked into the store, pulled a gun, took the money and ran, nobody would be looking very hard for him and he'd have most likely gotten away with robbery.
Instead, for whatever reason, he decides he needs to force these women into a back room and murder them. Now nobody's going to rest until he's found and he'll get found.
Stupid, rutheless criminals.

Why no chatter about a potential “hate” crime?
Oh that’s right . . . the suspect is black.
Yup...maybe even his mother.
What people don’t get is there are a large number of psychopaths out there in our population.
There’s a line in a song from the rap group Onyx, talking about the terrible condition of the ghetto:
“People don’t just rob because they on unemployment,
Some do it for the pure satisfaction and enjoyment”
Robbers almost never have their hand forced when it comes to the crime but they aren’t criminals because they have no other option. Some of them are addicts and some really DONT want to hurt people but most of those types go into other forms of theft. People who rob in this day and age (unless they rob drug dealers) generally do it because they are evil and violent.
I’m surprised more people aren’t killed in robberies. Can we PLEASE stop telling people to ‘cooperate’ with criminals. Sure, if someone gets the drop on you and has a gun in your face, you probably want to buy some time to do a quick formulation of a plan in your head but this idea of cooperation equaling survival is poppycock. It’s never been true, it’s not true with governments, why would it be true with thugs?
At least we know the mayor is very content, no crime in cook county, gun free zone ya know. P-ss on the victims!
