Wait, Now We All Take John Kerry At His Word? (Romney Camp Lying?)

MITT ROMNEY, JOHN MCCAIN

Wait, Now We All Take John Kerry At His Word?

Team Romney is insulting my intelligence when they call their rival  “half of the proposed McCain-Kerry '04 ticket," as they are today in press releases. (I note another NRO voice, on his radio program on Friday night, approvingly played audio of John Kerry claiming that John McCain approached him about being his running mate, not the other way around.)

First, the McCain stories were one of the first stories covered on the Kerry Spotand we noted that McCain denied his interest every time it came up. When Kerry started claiming that McCain approached him, others noted that everyone around McCain describes it as Kerry approaching McCain, not the other way around, and Newsweek's account is that Kerry "badly wanted" McCain as his running mate.

Didn't all of us spend a certain amount of time in 2004 making the case to the American public that Senator John "cut off ears, cut off heads... razed villages in fashion reminiscent of 'Jen-jis' Khan" Kerry was not a trustworthy source?

Now that John McCain is the target du jour, we suddenly find John Kerry a man whose word is good enough to settle the issue? Come on.

When Romney's campaign and those who strongly prefer Romney start suggesting that his assertion is enough to settle the issue, they're either ignoring or attempting to undo a significant amount of effort — by conservative journalists, and in some cases, themselves - put into obliterating the credibility of John Kerry not too long ago.

"If Kerry says one thing and McCain says the opposite, it's a sort of lying scumbag stalemate. There are no laws of logic, physics, or mathematics that can figure out which one is lying."

Thanks ... I needed that.

BTW ... 100% correct

I believe my own eyes..... mccain and kerry are birds of a feather. If i get my chance i will vote for romney. He is the only pubbie i will vote him.
the latest, Tammy Bruce “A vote McCain is a vote for hillary in a dress, VOTE MITT”......
Mitt is a good man. McCain is a freaking old codger of a liberal.
Huck is a class envy, religious bigot who wants to make nice with the enemy and screw Americans at the behest of anyone else in the world, who got into the limelight by amusing the MSM with worn out good ole boy arkansas talk.

If you think this makes Mitt look bad you you can lay off the koolade now.

McCain’s own people admit that Kerry approached McCain about joining his ticket. So apparently, McCain only disputes whose idea it was. What’s interesting to me is that McCain kept the whole thing a big secret until Kerry shot off his mouth.

I don’t want to support Mitt. It’s McCain’s fault. If he would just go away, wherever old, corrupt, unethical, Washington elites go, Maybe I would have someone besides Mitt to support, but McCain sticks around like a puss-filled sore.

Is there any evidence for Romney supporting Reagan over Carter or Mondale? Or GHWB over Dukakis or Clinton? Or Dole over Clinton?

In 1994 he totally disavowed both Reagan and GHWB and insisted he was an independent during the Reagan-Bush years and didn't support them. Did he vote for Bill Clinton?

Um, you haven’t seen the videos?

I understand the desire to vote for Romney as the lesser of evils; don’t try, however, to serve us crap and call it fillet mignon.

Well, the easy thing to resolve this is to have McCain state for the record if John Kerry is lying with his previous statement that he approved him to run as his VP?

“If Kerry says one thing and McCain says the opposite, it’s a sort of lying scumbag stalemate. There are no laws of logic, physics, or mathematics that can figure out which one is lying.”

I wonder if they shook hands if there would be a massive broad spectrum anti-matter explosion of some kind.

Or maybe just a wormhole of suckiness?

Romney actively supported Dukakis against Bush I.

Oh, so you have no evidence. Nice. I understand your hatred for Romney, but don’t try doing exactly what you falsely accuse him of.

There is an entire folder called “Romney Truth File” on F.R.

I suggest you use it.

So you still won’t support your claim? Interesting. Yet your appeal to me to find your supporting evidence for you smacks of liberalism. Is that the tactic you use when posting on DU? Tell me, what is your DU handle?

Oh, so you don’t really know if Mitt lied. Yet you accuse him of it anyway. You are without class and integrity.

I actually agree with this one. Although I’m not sure I trust McCain either when he says he didn’t entertain the notion, so I’ll call this a toss-up.

Don’t get your magic underwear in a twist, little boy.

Just Google “Romney Hunter” you — the first hit is an article about how Romney claimed to be a hunter, but never had a hunting license.

Everyone here knows about Romney’s lies; your hyperbole only makes you look like a fool.
