Hillary Clinton cries in Connecticut (On Drudge)
Swamp Politics ^ | Feb. 04, 2008 | by Jason George

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

A doctor, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton's eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, the doctor was saying how proud he was that sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

"Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path," Clinton said with emotion after the introduction.

Clinton is holding a roundtable discussion with Connecticut women to talk about childcare and healthcare.

When Clinton got misty-eyed at an event in New Hampshire on Jan. 7, politicos and pundits filled hours discussing if it helped her, and Clinton eventually pointed to the moment as when she "found her voice" and turned the corner in the Granite State.

At the time, there was much debate if the candidate's emotional response to a question -- "How do you do it?"" -- was genuine or calculated.

Let the conversation begin again...

At this rate, she’s going to cry herself OUT of the nomination. Bad strategy, Hill.

“At this rate, she’s going to cry herself OUT of the nomination. Bad strategy, Hill.”

How is this bad strategy? It won her NH. She will use it until it stops working. In fact, she would probably kill Bill if she thought it would gain her more votes than she would lose.

I’ll cry if (when?) I see Bill Clinton back in the White House.

See pardons for sale, not including the FALN commutation:

So they cry about her 1972 PANTS?

OK, I can see that...

Over the weekend there was an as yet little-noticed incident in Bridgeton, Mo., just outside St. Louis. Sen. Hillary Clinton addressed a town hall meeting there and was taking questions from the audience.

One elderly woman rose and was asking the Democratic candidate about a rumored economic union among the United States, Canada and Mexico that is widely-discussed, feared and abhorred among conspiracy fanciers. The woman said the president planned to implement the secret agreement in 2010.

Then the woman called the president “Bush the bastard.”

The Democratic crowd immediately roared its approval.

Sen. Clinton nodded her head slightly and smiled.

Childcare and healthcare.... I suppose that is what a Clinton Administration would be concerned with and which it would make a bureaucratic nightmare of.... How, oh how, have people been raising their families and providing health care to them all these centuries?

The founders would be astounded that a PRESIDENTIAL candidate for the federal government of the United States was discussing

childcare and healthcare.

Absolutely NOT authorized powers at the federal level, only at the state level.

I think that this sort of talk will reduce Bush’s re-election chances to near zero.

Someone should ask her about all the folks crying in upstate New York. You know, the ones never saw or heard from her again after the listening (pandering) tour ...

Apparently, operating a calendar is beyond this person's abilities...
