Huckabee Hints Clear Channel Conspiring With Romney
NewsBusters ^ | Matthew Sheffield

Speaking at a news conference in Oklahoma, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee floated the idea that the reason the vast majority of America's conservative talk radio hosts aren't endorsing him or John McCain is because Mitt Romney's investment firm owns a significant share of Clear Channel Communications, the nation's largest radio syndication company.

"Some suggest that the fact that Bain Capital owns a major stake in Clear Channel is on Sean's network, maybe there's a correlation. I don't know."

The Sean he was referring to had to be none other than Sean Hannity, America's number-two talk radio host behind Rush Limbaugh.

A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Mccain—do you really want that?

OK so that is Fred Thompsons Que to throw a glowing endorsement behind Romney... Right and if he doesn’t what then?

How can anyone on this board possibly support any canidate that is not 100 percent true to Conservative values?

What if Romney gets power and under pressure from the left reinvents his tortured Pro-choice, Pro-life back to Pro-choice position and allows Partial Birth Abortion?

What if McCain gets into power and under Pressure from the left or maybe no pressure at all signs law granting all illegals citzenship

What if Huckabee gets into power and his son eats his VP for breakfast...

None of the Above that is the only way a true 100 percent Conservative can vote in this years primary and if you say any different you are a Hypocrite.

Since I have never met a Mormon with multiple wives, what’s your point? Basing your opinions on ignorance is not conducive to good decision making.

It’s amazing how many so-called Christian men are addicted to porn and or visit prostitutes. It’s a dirty little secret. But I am afraid these are the types of Christians who are drawn to Huckabee. And then they deal with their guilt by bashing others on Sunday just because they don’t go to the same church. It’s a dirty secret, but it’s the truth! I guess when a person lacks sincereity, there are other ways of feeling self-rightous. That’s why I think people need to be really careful when another Christian bashes forms of Christianity too much. It could be that they are compensating for some secrets of their own.

You really need to calm down. I never said he was a purist or any of the other things you screamed at me. I don't have to show you anything...I'm not trying to get you to vote for anyone. This thread isn't about Romney, it's about Huckabee. If you want to talk about Romney, there are plenty of pro and anti Romney threads that you can go to and have a discussion with the posters there!

This article IS about Huckabee, you know, the Man of God, the preacher, the one candidate that we should have high expectations from. I wanted to like and support Huckabee. But I can't. Besides his love for illegals and implying that I am a bigot because I don't want ILLEGALS taking over my Country, he is a populist and promotes class warfare and I just can't support him.

Isn't that my right as a free American citizen? His deceptive campaigning, like the one in this article, and where he made an attack add, then said he wouldn't show it, then showed it to the ENEMEDIA...that shows me a lack of Huckabee's character that exists today, right now, and I don't want him as my president!

You have no right to attack me and call me names. I have given my opinion, and you are free to tell me who you support or don't support. That is why we have elections in this Country. It's not a dictatorship yet. If you know Huckabee's positions and you want to vote for him, please do.

Uniformed... Polygamy is alive and well in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.. Maybe we should dig a little deeper into the Romney background...

So I guess his Family Values positions should be considered non-Conservative... right?

RUSH: Our candidates are spreading liberal conspiracy theories...

Leave it to the Huckster to throw this bomb so that Rush, Sean, & Co. would talk about him on Monday, so he can then whine about how they are picking on him. What a jerk!

Huckabee is an idiot. Conservatives left with only him and McCain, both open borders globalists, illegal immigration apologists, and amnesty supporters, have chosen the only remaining candidate of the three who is far more conservative especially in terms of border security and immigration policy than McLooney or Schmuckabee. Both of them have entered into a temporary political alliance in order to suppress support for Romney and give Schmuckabee a good shot at the VP slot on McLooney’s ticket. Huckabee’s temporary political alliance of convenience against a fellow candidate is no secret nor is it a conspiracy theory as it was reported widely weeks ago. This is why the Huckster remains in the race with numbers now as low as his former critic and opponent Fred Thompson to whom Schmuckabee rhetorically asked why Thompson remained in the race. However, unlike Thompson, Huckabee isn’t getting out of the race because he needs to stay in to help McCain and hurt Romney with the promise of higher political office.

Yep so you have to find yourself in the awkward position of supporting someone who you really don’t want to support ...

Why? If your intention is to support a person then do it... Wish-Washy is not what the Liberals are concerning their choices they want the WH and Wish Washy Conservatives are going to give it to them...

IOW .. Why waste your time if your only half-hearted about it?

It’s hard to understand how any Christian could consider voting for Huckabee. Leaving aside his liberal record as governor, his ethics are certainly enough to disqualify him from consideration.

The Arkansas Ethics Commission investigated 14 complaints against Huckabee and found him guilty on five of those. Huckabee’s response to a question about these violations was: “In all of these complaints and attacks, not one has resulted in it being found that I’ve done something illegal.”

That’s an interesting values system for a Christian. It wasn’t illegal for Bill Clinton to have sex in the Oval office. It was unethical. But under Huckabee’s value system it was all right because it wasn’t illegal.

It’s very strange that self described Christians would vote for a man with ethics like that.

Add his ethics to the fact that he isn’t a conservative and it’s easy to see why talk radio wants nothing to do with him.

If Fred endorses McCain, it shows that he puts friendship above Country...I will not believe it, until I hear it myself.

In a million years, I would have NEVER expected Mr. Hunter to endorse Mr.Huckabee.
I truly felt betrayed!
