...tanks? LOL (laughing out loud)! That’s one way to do it.
I live in a remote place at high altitude in the mountains with roads covered with ice for months each year. Hankook winter tires work very well here. :-)

The tracks break the ice up. If the ice is to deep to break all the way through, the tracks still rough it up enough to make it easy enough to drive on.

The Korean tires are low cost but much safer than tires from other countries (excellent quality control in the ROK).
