MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- Mitt Romney's campaign is blasting out automated phone calls that feature a recording of former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania raising questions about John McCain's "temperament" -- a hot-button issue that Romney himself has assiduously avoided. Santorum said in an interview today that he wrote the script himself, and the campaign deferred to him and approved it.

I think Rick has paid the price for his support of Specter, and now look what they elected instead.

Just think, if the spiteful conservatives hadn’t cut his throat, we could have Rick thick in the mix right now. It really makes me sick, I had such high hopes for that man.

Check this!

ABC News’ Teddy Davis Reports: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told ABC’s David Muir Saturday that his support for driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants will not block his path to the White House because he and G.O.P. frontrunner John McCain share substantial overlap on immigration.[snip]

Oh no, we are paying for Rick’s pride and big fat ego. He had some fantasy that he was a kingmaker. As always the American People pay for it.

Thanks for the link to the video of the agenda-driven Pravda reporter who was too lazy to even stand while he argued his position instead of allowing Romney to answer the question.

If you call that a temper “flair,” you haven’t been to Texas.

The biggest problem I have with McCain’s temper is that it always seems to be directed at conservatives and never at the left.

Because the men you name—certainly Kissinger and Eagleburger—are very likely not driven by principle but by hidden agendas and self promotion.

I remember that day; it was spooky.

The N. Vietnamese must have ruined part of his brain permanently. It’s not his fault, but still the same he’s ill-suited for the job.

I can live with Romney; hopefully he’ll get better.

This is mostly just the Navy backing one of their own boys.

How's McCain doing in the fundraising department? I heard he had to take out a loan, and take out a new life insurance policy to get the loan.

Is he getting a wad of dough from all that support?

Mojave, let me tell something. You are peddling jokes. EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MCCAIN BY NOW. SHAME ON YOU, there is no comparison between anyone and McCain.

1) Why is it that McCain almost exclusively loses his temper with Republicans, peppering a dispute with Sen. Coryn of Texas with F-bombs?

2) What can you say about a man (McCain) that scuffles with Strom Thurmond (then 92 years old)?

You’re way off base.
