How 'bout McPain's Mom saying, "He's not Conservative!" and what should Conservatives do, if your son wins the nomination? "(she holds her nose) Hold their noses, and vote!"

Mom better watch her six.

Hugh shaking his head. Hysterical!

Speaking of SNL, what an hysterical bit that would be.

LOL

In Britain we call Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day the day when years ago you had to consume all the fat, eggs etc before the 40 days of Lent.

This is the subject I have chosen for the Singles Thread this weekend, it also includes a recipe for English pancakes.

Anyone who is interested here is a link to it.

Nobody paid attention to Wyoming or Louisiana, either.

It’s like they’re following a script. The only reason they covered Nevada is because Harry Reid set up those caucuses himself.

He’s a bully.

No doubt about that. He bypassed the committee process and tried to ram McCain-Kennedy down our throat. He formed the Gang of 14 to control the Senate and the confirmation of judicial nominees. McCain is not a democrat [with a small "D"]

Years ago, when I first noticed the Mr Bush usage, I wrote to several reporters and editorial page editors and got replies, telling me of their ‘style’ for name usage. That is for print. TV reporters picked up on it when W became president.

The same reporters do not say Mr Kerry, Mr Obama, Mrs Clinton or Mr McCain. They always say Senator for the above names. So I KNOW that the Mr Bush is a deliberate diss.

IMHO Huckerbee may not drop out but his supporters may well migrate to Romney as the only viable candidate that they would feel happy voting for.

Just a heads up because the MSM WILL NOT MENTION THIS.

FL, the major electoral state, will have a constitutional protect marriage amendment on the ballot in november.

the MSM tried to conceal the story by burrying it with a failed amendment proposal.

The MSM template is to never mention marriage amendments.

Read the fine print: “This content on this page was written before the event had actually happened. It is most likely not true and should be treated as such.”

Take a breather...

I agree with your observation on McCain. McCain gets a pass on his WOT positions but he does not vote for the things that would support us.

For what it’s worth, I do not consider McCain a “hero” either. I appreciate his service and his being held prisoner in Hanoi, but I don’t know of anything he did that was especially heroic. The only thing I can think of was his supposedly not being willing to be released ahead of the other prisoners.

But post Vietnam, it seems the majority of Vietnam vets do not support McCain. Why? Because he did not support making sure we had every prisoner out of there, and he trashed the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as he supported Kerry in the face of compelling evidence that Kerry is a liar and traitor to our country.

Add in McCain’s opposition to Gitmo and claiming waterboarding is torture, and McCain is not the military supporter he claims he is.

Frankly, Senator McCain, I have no desire to be one of “my friends” as you so loosely over use the term.

Do you have any idea how financial markets work? Do you realize just what it means for the government to declare what interest rates are going to be? Do you understand how amazingly stupid it would be to have “stable” interest rates? Do you have any clue how much permanent damage stopping foreclosures would do to the housing market?

All free economies to survive require some failures. Foreclosures are good and necesary.
