The commercial SPEER 125gr GDHP I use /carry has proven itself for me with data presented and visual evidence at the range on materials including cars, structures, and ballistic gelatin etc .......
I highly suggest the following if ya go too this caliber.
Get a Glock 35 in 40 Short & Wimpy, go too lone wolfe and get their replacement barrels, rifled so ya CAN SHOOT cast lead reloads safely in the following calibers. 9mm and 357SIG caliber.
Albeit I carry a Glock 31 I bought these spare barrels from lone wolf(e) to build a package that allows me to have 4 different calibers for one frame and 2 slide and 3 magazine type package.
I have the advantage arms .22 adapter slide barrel and magazines for plinking and general training new shooters.
I have a 9mm barrel and magazines albeit for plinking a 9mm will feed from a 40/357SIG mag but is not reliable for working gun or self defense so get the 9mm mags when ya get the 9mm barrel.

Basic Glock 35 in 40SW
40/357 spare magazines are common dual caliber
9mm spare magazines
advantage arms .22 slide assembly and magazines for the G35
spare barrel in 357SIG
spare barrel in 9MM
9MM, 40SW,357SIG and .22 ammunition
I like the little package I put together. Allows the basic G35 platform to be used with many calibers, reloads for the 9mm & 357SIG and even the 40SW IF ya want to buy that rifled barrel as well later.
Hope I didn’t cloud up the main goal of such a package for that one frame with my description.
The Glock 35 is identical pretty much to a standard 1911A1 in size !
