Jesus wasn’t an angel. He’s God. Satan was an angel — created.

Do you believe Jesus was merely and angel?

Exactly.

Contrast Romney's attending this funeral with, say, Democratic Senator John Edwards pursuing a Presidential bid while his wife fights a second (i.e. likely fatal) round with cancer.

Values matter, in my voting booth.

Nope. The Clintons’ screwed him, and he will never forget. Sometimes the tumblers all fall in place. He’s a conservative and maybe our last chance. Certainly his last chance. A huge ego, but a lot of brains. He can pull it off.

Regards, Yankee Doodle

Did you ever forgive Reagan for signing the abortion bill in Calif.? Did you mourn all the abortions Reagan paid for? Can you see how ridiculous this argument is? What really is your motive here? If you tell me that you never forgave Reagan & never voted for him then I can respect your opinion. Otherwise, you’ve got some ‘splainin to do.

The Clintons’ screwed him

Well, I'm not going to touch that one.

I’m sorry you believe that.

As for me, I do not believe Scripture has become corrupted.

I was at the funeral, and I saw Mitt and his wife come in. I was impressed. He came in slightly after Senator Bennett, and about 40 minutes before the funeral started. Senator Bennett stood up at the front shaking hands with people for quite a while, drawing attention to himself. Mitt slipped in and quietly took his seat, never doing anything to draw attention to himself during the entire time.

The man is a class act.

Thank you, lady lawyer, for your report. I watched the funeral on BYU channel. It was so wonderful. I cried a lot but President Monson made me laugh! I am proud of Mr. & Mrs. Romney for going to the funeral even though they had to leave the campaign trail. Watching it on TV was almost as good as being there, I think. “Oh, death, where is thy sting?”

It was a beautiful occasion.

The Westboro Baptists were there, on the corner of State and North Temple. Did the TV stations show them?

Maybe it is from the torture.

Has McCain done anything since he got back from Vietnam?

How long can he milk his Vietnam experience?

Romney went to Gordon Hinckley’s funeral knowing it would once again draw attention to the fact that he is Mormon. Mitt left the campaign trail knowing how valuable each and every minute left before Super Tuesday is, to make his case for the Presidency. Mitt Romney went to the funeral anyway. Mitt Romney has his priorities in life, and his religion is one of his highest priorities. I have nothing but admiration for this man, an honorable and decent man, the one man in this race on the Pub side with the cleanest slate and no scandal either of his own or of any one of his family members. Squeaky clean comes to mind.

John McCain is an adulterer who dumped his first wife injured in an accident and crippled, to take on a young blond heiress to a fortune. McCain knifes the conservative base of his party at every opportunity. McCain is a nasty, vindictive little man. Let me give you an example of McCain’s base personality. He plans on being in MA, Romney’s home state on the night of the returns from Super Tuesday. For one reason only, if he wins, to rub it in. That is rotten and unnecessary and yet he does it. He had the same hatred for George Bush Jr., and his grudge against Bush lasted for years. That’s why McCain would consistently go against Bush’s war policies, and his legistlative slate.

McCain will also, if he wins, make sure he pays back the conservative base (that’s us) in spades. You think you are going to get strict constructionist judges from him? Fools, you will get a Sandra Day O’Connor type clone. You think he is going to do one thing about abortion issues? He will ignore them. Tax cuts? Maybe. But he will spend us into the sewer with global warming legislation and by making sure to pass an amnesty for illegal aliens bill. Mr. no big spending will spend us into major further debt.

Romney is an honorable man; McInsane is a snake in the grass. But there are those Freepers who can’t tell the difference because they are religious bigots or politically stupid. Or both.

>Jim Robinson is against Romney. And Romney is a gay activist.

So? Jim Robinson is wrong. I’m wondering, though. Is that one reason the anti-Mormon religious bigotry seems to be tolerated on this forum?

So some Baptists lined up to protest the funeral services of President Hinckley?

Wonderful.

You quote the “spiritual brothers” portion. But you ignore the explanation of what that means:

>That means that all beings were created by God and are his spirit children. Christ, on the other hand, was the only begotten in the flesh and we worship him as the son of God and the savior of mankind. Satan is the exact opposite of who Christ is and what he stands for.

So you don’t believe that the Father created all things?

And you fail to understand that Christ is the ONLY Begotten of the Father (unlike Satan)?

And you don’t get that Mormons believe that Christ is the “exact opposite” of who Christ is and what Christ stands for?

But the Mormons DO believe that Jesus and Satan came from spirit children and that all spirit children are brothers. It’s been proven time and time again according to your own teachings. Protestants believe Jesus is God therefore he is not related to Satan. Also, we are not “pre-made”.

It’s a technicality but calling Huckabee out on it is ridiculous. If you are going to jack on Huckabee, don’t use this one.

First, did you ever notice that on Huckabee news you don’t see Mormons “pouncing” on Huckabee’s religion and attacking it?

Second, we do believe that the Father is related to his children. If the Father were NOT related to his children, then how is he a father?

But the next journey was that Jesus Christ who was the only begotten of the Father is our brother because we have the same father, and you are my brother and so was Hitler, and Pol Pot, Prime Churchhill, Clinton, Lincoln, Geo Washington etc.

Just because we came to earth another way God is still our Heavenly Father.

Some are good people some are evil because of free will.

Jesus was perfect that is why he was the only begotten Son.

Do you remember “The Lord’s Prayer” that Jesus taught us?

John is full reference where Jesus is talking of the Heavenly Father and how we need to give Heavenly Father all the Glory.

John 14
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John 20
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not;
for I am not yet ascended to my Father:
but go to my brethren, and say unto them,
I ascend unto my Father, and your Father;
and to my God, and your God.

To rearrange these words or the deck chairs is dishonest so they can fit your scenario these words are very clear.

You need to ponder you scripture with the Lord so the Holy Spirit can bring you understanding in the scheme of things!

Stop reacting on emotions!

He is and was the firstborn son of God and the only begotten in the flesh, the Savior of the World. He is the one that prayed to his Father in the Garden before his path to Calvary.
He did not pray to himself.
