Romney went to Gordon Hinckley’s funeral knowing it would once again draw attention to the fact that he is Mormon. Mitt left the campaign trail knowing how valuable each and every minute left before Super Tuesday is, to make his case for the Presidency. Mitt Romney went to the funeral anyway. Mitt Romney has his priorities in life, and his religion is one of his highest priorities. I have nothing but admiration for this man, an honorable and decent man, the one man in this race on the Pub side with the cleanest slate and no scandal either of his own or of any one of his family members. Squeaky clean comes to mind.

John McCain is an adulterer who dumped his first wife injured in an accident and crippled, to take on a young blond heiress to a fortune. McCain knifes the conservative base of his party at every opportunity. McCain is a nasty, vindictive little man. Let me give you an example of McCain’s base personality. He plans on being in MA, Romney’s home state on the night of the returns from Super Tuesday. For one reason only, if he wins, to rub it in. That is rotten and unnecessary and yet he does it. He had the same hatred for George Bush Jr., and his grudge against Bush lasted for years. That’s why McCain would consistently go against Bush’s war policies, and his legistlative slate.

McCain will also, if he wins, make sure he pays back the conservative base (that’s us) in spades. You think you are going to get strict constructionist judges from him? Fools, you will get a Sandra Day O’Connor type clone. You think he is going to do one thing about abortion issues? He will ignore them. Tax cuts? Maybe. But he will spend us into the sewer with global warming legislation and by making sure to pass an amnesty for illegal aliens bill. Mr. no big spending will spend us into major further debt.

Romney is an honorable man; McInsane is a snake in the grass. But there are those Freepers who can’t tell the difference because they are religious bigots or politically stupid. Or both.

Wow, GREAT WHITEWASH of Mitt! Best I’ve seen here this week.

however, there are a few things I’d like to reflect back to you...

>>I have nothing but admiration for this man, an honorable and decent man, the one man in this race on the Pub side with the cleanest slate and no scandal either of his own or of any one of his family members. Squeaky clean comes to mind.

I find him honorable in many ways, and respect that he has
one wife and a seemingly nice family. That doesn’t make Mitt
into Saint Mitt. He has problems with truthfulness and it makes
one wonder why he has a need to stretch the truth.

His comments about being a lifetime hunter are a good example
of Mitt’s exaggerations. His “seeing” his dad march with
MLK are another. His tortured explanation of “seeing” after
the truth came out is another example.

Your own post, which I am responding to, is a good example
of exaggeration of the truth to make Mitt into more than he
is. It strikes me as peculiar that you or Mitt would think
you had to exaggerate, if he was as good as you think.

He is not “squeaky clean”.

>>John McCain is an adulterer who dumped his first wife
injured in an accident and crippled, to take on a young
blond heiress to a fortune.

Unless you’ve been shadowing McCain, I doubt you can honestly
say he is committing adultry. That is the definition of an
adulterer, as surely you know.

Did he have sex with his new wife while he was still married
to his old wife. Shoot if I know. I assume so. It wasn’t good.

Do you honestly claim to know Mitt has never committed
adultery? If so, how could you possibly know? Think carefully
because Jesus had a few words to say about what it means
to commit adultery. “... if you even look upon a woman with
lust in your heart...”

When he was separated from his first wife, he met and later
married his current wife, who has been his wife for a long,
long time. Was it the most honorable way to deal with his
first marriage? No. It is, however, as common as asphalt in
our country. To my knowledge, based entirely on never seeing
a story that says he is cheating on his wife, he is not
an adulterer.

From your post, it appears you also have something against
blondes. I’m married to a blonde and God made them too. Lighten
up.

>>He plans on being in MA, Romney’s home state on the night of the returns from Super Tuesday. For one reason only, if he wins, to rub it in. That is rotten and unnecessary and yet he does it.

So, you are arguing it is immoral to campaign in the state
of a former Governor? I think not. My understanding is that
McCain is on the ballot and has a right to campaign there.

If he does win there (which I doubt), it will certainly send
the message that Republicans in MA are not Romney fans. Politics
is a blood sport. That is the way it has always been.

>>That’s why McCain would consistently go against Bush’s war policies, and his legislative slate.

No. I see no evidence. McCain was a huge advocate of Bush’s surge strategy.

>>You think he is going to do one thing about abortion issues? He will ignore them.

There is only 1 thing any POTUS does about abortion - appoint
Supreme Court Justices who stick with the Constitution. If there
were anything else, it would be illegal today after Reagan
and two Bushes.

Mitt’s record on judge appointments and his process he ordered
in MA turned out to be a failure. Any claim that he would
be better than McCain is based entirely on hopes.

>>Romney is an honorable man<<

Looking the other way as his right hand man impersonated
a policeman - a crime, btw.

Lying about his record and wild claims about hunting and
his father.

Looked the other way as porn drove the profits
of Marriot - and as 10% of every paycheck he cashed as a
board member was funded by porn.

Advocating for gay rights - and claiming he would do more
for advancing gay rights than Sen. Kennedy.

Advocating and signing into law a bill that would become
his legacy -> $50 abortions in MA for everyone

Changing almost every conviction he held and used to get
elected in MA in his mid to late 50s????

Those are all character issues, & well documented

Mitt is certainly, again, from what can be seen in photo
shoots, a good husband and father. That doesn’t make him
completely truthful or honest or honorable.
