Not gonna happen. He has open contempt for conservatives.
All the hooting we did over the Clinton marriage...how it will come back to bite.
Wow after reading that I’m a born again Romney supporter and you should believe me because I say so! I’ve been a Romney supporter longer than Mitt has been a Coservative! Booyah!
He has an 86 lifetime ACU rating. He is no “0” Kennedy.
Actually they both need to. I could care less about Mitt's being a Mormon, so in my mind he never needed to do that speech, but he has never explained the emphatically liberal record he has. ![]() |
That's fair enough and I would welcome that too. But I'm keeping in mind that McCain's public record is much longer than Romney's -- i.e., he's got a lot more to answer for.
I guess that means you'll be happy with 20 million new illegals over the next 5 years.
This issue about “is the candidate conservative enough?” is about to make me question the author’s sanity. I already quit reading another columnist forever when he helped Geo Bush 1st lose and Clintoon win for just the same critcism. It is a total straw man and very destructive and vacuous. If you want Hillary as the next President, keep going down that “is he conservative enough?” yellow brick road. Otherwise, do your duty, quit whining, buck up and get behind McCain.
Then there are these little nuggets:

WHO IS THE DISTRIBUTOR?
“Budweiser will also have a presence on the new stadium’s video replay boards, scoreboard and concourses, and local wholesaler Hensley Distributing will distribute 150,000 English and 50,000 Spanish team pocket schedules.”
Q: Which politician worked to get the FAA to approve the domed Cardinal Tempe Stadium?
A: John McCain
Q: Who just landed the alcohol deal for the Cardinals?
A: Anheuser-Busch
Q: Who has the distribution rigths for Phoenix area?
A: The Hensley Company
Q: Who is Hensley’s Chairman of the Board?

You Too Can Connect The Straight-Talking Dots...
He’ll get to answer those questions when he faces off with the beast.
You might if you knew what it is they believe.
You won't hear any whining here, yldstrk. I'm inferring that you think Hilary and McCain are light-years apart, whereas I (and many others) see them as very nearly the same.
Those who say "shut up and do your duty" might as well be saying, "You'll get 100% screwed by Hilary, but if you pick McCain, you'll only get 95% screwed." To real conservatives, that is an unacceptable proposition.
Quite honestly, I'd rather have Hilary -- as a clear opposition target to fight against -- than someone who keeps saying he's "on our side" as he twists the knife in our backs.
McCain would (continue to) do to conservatives, what the Democrats have been doing to African-Americans for the last 50 years.
Here’s a must read from earlier FR days:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a38266786551d.htm
Goes into detail about the Keating 5 scandal. Cindy’s father actually introduced McCain to Keating and then the family invested money in his enterprises.
False. And the latest one, for 2006, was only 65.
Bigot.
Unfortunately, the Mormons NEVER grasped the significance of that.
