Yes, it was beautiful & wonderful & I had tears here too.
Yeah, we had tears down here too :-)
Thanks for the ping.
I loved the music, the choir, the pictures, the sound, the patriotism. It was awsome! Thanks for the thread, RTH!
It never occured to me to relate it to the Civil War. What’s that all about? We are fighting another war now, and we need to be together, or we’re in very serious trouble of losing more than could ever have been imagined in that war over a hundred and forty years ago.
Com’mon, guys. Let’s try to stick together here. I’m not talking Kum-Bayah stuff. I’m talking the U S of A. It’s our country! Not Yanks vs. Confederates, or North vs. South, blacks vs. whites. It’s up to each and every one of us to fight for the sovereignty of this country. We can only do that, if we band together.
BTW - FWIW, I was raised and educated in the North, now live in the South, and after a trip accross the country a few years back - if I ever relocate, it will be in TN, MS, NC, SC, or GA. The people there have open arms and good cookin’. (Not that the North doesn’t have good cookin’ or good people!) There are very special things to love about the North AND the South.
Let’s together, hold up our country - in any way we can. (Any flaming will be pointless. I have on my flame retardant FReeper suit.)
