Then you are throwing your vote away and contributing to a McCain victory or a Hillary victory. Is that what you want? Why not just drop Fred a nice note and wish him well instead - it would accomplish more than throwing your vote away.

We need your vote to stop McCain.

He has no clue about business or the private sector. He didn’t even earn the money he used the first time to run for office - he married it when he divorced his long suffering wife for a much younger woman who had lots of money.

****But, Captain McQueeg would probably punch me in the face and throw me overboard.****

And he would be impeached or hanged!

So, inadvertently, you have just stumbled on the importance of the VP choice - or - 2nd mate.

“Luckily, Alito and Roberts were on the panel.”

Alito and Roberts are not on the SCOTUS because of “luck”. They are there because their nominations got to the Senate floor for a confirmation vote without a filibuster precisely because of a deal that John McCain brokered. Despite the howlings of conservatives. He and 57 other Senators confirmed Alito, and he and 77 other Senators confirmed Roberts.

BTW, both Clinton and Obama voted against confirmation of both Alito and Roberts.

But hey, I guess there’s no difference between McCain and the Democrats.

Heck, people will probably start getting banned on Free Republic for criticizing Democrats and refusing to criticize Republicans. In six months, this place will look like the Daily Kos.

John McCain reminds of the evil Leprechaun in the Leprechaun movie series. Any minute I expect him to jump up, bare his teeth, and try to bite Romney’s throat out.

He is as scary as Bill Clinton with his temper.

“Do you go with the fella who can fight off the barbarians, but is inclined to lose his temper and valuable equipment?
First, since you can’t express your First Amendment rights too close to an election would wouldn’t be able to choose, secondly, the barbarians would be welcomed on board so that they could lawyer up, thirdly, the judge in the possible proceedings would be booted for being too conservative (Alito), fourthly, we wouldn’t be able to afford getting on the boat because the tax burden would be too high,...need I go on and on?”
That was funny! sad but true.
Do to global warming if it had an outboard motor it would be against the McCain Global warming bill to burn gasoline.
And because it is a boat there would be a Luxury tax on it due before you could board the boat.

Nice touch, but I’m going to write in Fred.
**************
Congratulations, Robbin! It’s folks like you who will help the liberal wing of the GOP AND the liberal MSM elect their chosen liberal candidate — John McCain.

To expand on the VP selection.

Worst case scenario - MCain wins the GOP nomination.

Someone close to him (an oxymoron) must convince him to nominate Duncan Hunter for VP or he will not get enough GOP voters to defeat Hillary/Obabma.

Inasmuch as the Dems have been threatening to impeach GWB because he cannot pronounce *nuclear* McCain will live on the edge of impeachment - just for his nasty temper.

GOP should tip him over the edge- voila Duncan Hunter POTUS.

McCain is too old and frail to do much barbarian fighting.
